TBH, our separate brethren, the Protestant Christians are generally more careful and stoic than us when coming into keeping and using items in a way that are not of God. Something we Catholics can learn from them. For many of us, we sometimes try to out stretch the meaning of inculturations too far to the point when the way we do or use things are no longer compatible with the gospel. Need be careful.

Thank you for trying to bring to our attention these things which some of us might still be unaware and essentially are snares laid bythe Enemy. The subtle ways in which he is working to bring us away from God. I was waiting for the part about where the new age comes from - half truths, working subtly in your consciousness - does this not remind you of the devil? I wish you would not shy away from speaking boldly about the reality of the evil one and spiritual warfare on your show. I appreciate you trying to rationalize and empathize with the circumstances people are put in, but these things just simply go against the first commandment: I am the Lord, your God, You shall not have other gods besides me. Personally, we have even as Catholics shied away from speaking plainly about such things to other Catholics.

I have a debate on yoga with other catholic, they insisted it is just exercise. Someone told me even the pope didn’t say catholic cannot do yoga. I don’t know how to continue with the conversation

There are basically 2 types of yoga here. One type is basically just exercise and they are usually conducted by the gyms. The other type is usually conducted by meditation centers and this type of yoga aims at opening the chakras in our body and connecting to God.

Some Yoga is actually just exercises that probably focus on building flexibility etc. I guess maybe to better market these exercise classes( probably to make it more interesting and easier to sell such courses) it is brand under yoga. Not all yoga are these so called new age activity.

Thank you guys for your sharing especially Fr Ho for his inputs and insights. There is a real spiritual hunger for a true relationship with God in a web of disinformation and the gullible will fall for it due to insecurity. It’s the same trick used from the beginning, only repackaged and clever advertising to entice us away from our creator who sustained us on our earthly journey. We all like to have the best of both world minus the hard work. Sometimes you need to understand in order to do and sometimes you need to do in order to understand. A healthy recommendation is a prayer life, reading the Word of God, Reception of Sacraments (Reconciliation & Eucharist) and a faith community. Jesus say “I Am the Way , the Truth and the Life” John 14:6

Im catholic, i love yoga so much, until i came along the bible verse point me anything in my life that offends You, and the first thing God shows me is to stop yoga. Because every pose like sun salutation and all are pose to the hindu god and goddeses, ask God personally and let Him lead you ❤️
