Hi. I so agree about wearing what you feel good in. I have a group of close friends and we all have our own style. Each of us have different tastes and preferences but we always look great in our own way. When shopping we can always recognise what each of us would like and choose. I wouldn’t change any of them!❤

It's easier said than done, but a quote I try to pull out when people criticize without constructive intent is that it 'reflects more on them than it does you'. People seriously! Girl had to grow it out to see what works. Cathy did what most of us do I’ve done that. Cut layers, added bangs, grew out bangs. Took a couple of years to get it where I love it ! Oh and Cathy your hair looks fabulous ❤

Thanks for the great tips. I am slowly trying to get away from tshirts and athletic shorts. I have worked remote from home for over 10 years - so I don’t dress up unless going out. During the work week, No make up and No jewelry. Now I am feel like a slob. I started the process of getting rid of tshirts and buying / upgrading my casual clothes. Thanks for all the info Cathy. One day I happened to wear a necklace with an all black outfit and a friend asked why I was dressed up, yet I’d worn almost exactly the same outfit last time she saw me a couple of days earlier - I guess it did elevate the look!

Your hair has always looked great. Aging hair can be a royal pain! For myself, I try and keep up, and pay attention to its needs. I feel better when I look in a mirror and see someone staring back I recognize. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to look youthful, just careful and approachable. I find I can put together outfits and accessories when I know I’ve accomplished that much confidence.

I have been dressing like an old lady since I was young! Small prints, sweaters, modest clothes, clear bright colors. Taught for thirty-two years...maybe that is why. I can't stand to show skin, it just feels so immodest that am miserable. I don't judge others, but I can't do it. Yes to blush, and BIG YES to sparkly eyeshadow. It really helps give energy to the face. Your hair is nice on you. Why would anyone criticize it?

There is absolutely nothing offensive here, these are really good things to consider. By the way, that red jacket looks great on you, as does the shorter black one. I know you said you don't think blazers are your friend, but this length and style really is flattering! I think it's important to do these self-reviews periodically to be sure we are staying current and looking out best. The closet edit is a wonderful idea that I'm going to start doing more often.

I am guilty of shopping at one store more often than I should. It’s difficult for me to shop in store since I use a wheelchair because I can’t walk or stand for too long, but at Talbots their sizes are consistent so I know what size to order in pants, jeans, sweaters etc. Once in a while I get surprised but I rarely have to return on a regular basis. I have a few others I like too, like Spanx, J Crew, and Soft Surroundings but their sizing can be trickier. As for negative comments people make, I just don’t get why people think they have the right to criticize just because you are a content creator! It takes confidence and courage to put yourself out there and I have nothing but respect and admiration for you!
