I agree with most of your comments. Nix on all the tan pants. They create shadows that emphasize what none of us want to emphasize. I did disagree with the black zip pullover. The old navy one fit closer to your body and made you look thinner from the back. The Spanx one may have better quality but looked Sloppy and wasn't as flattering to your new thinner body. Also the pink top was a great color for you!!. I loved the black shorts and T-shirt! Even though I usually like a v neck as well, I thought that outfit looked fabulous! - you looked fresh and young! It fun to see all the outfits. I wish you would try straight leg pants, instead of wide or joggers, and in soft fabrics that move. The pink top is pretty but way too short. I agree with you that you should invest in pieces that are better quality. They just fit better and fit and proportion are so important when you’re petite. Must admit, my favourite on you was outfit #1 Old Navy. Appreciate your comments. After buying a couple Spanx items, I found they did nothing for my short apple figure so they are out for me. Despite the quality difference, Old Navy generally fits me better.

This is interesting seeing the differences in brands. Personally, I have found Old Navy sizing to be very inconsistent, also think they seem more geared for Junior sizing no matter what the tag says, but it might just be me. I truly have no luck in that brand. I think in this video you can see the difference in quality. These days, I'm going for quality every time!

Spanx, Spanx, Spanx except for those awful wide khaki pants. Love the Spanx shorts and appreciate the tip. I rarely, no, never wear shorts but may give them a try. Also the striped pants. Good video Super helpful. I’m a size 12 so not sure how to size them but I do have one pair of plain black straight Spanx pants that are ages old and I love them. They last! The PP is high but better that than throwing out after one season. I use Old Navy for sleep wear, kinda. And a once a year white shirt cover up. About all that’s worth it. And kids clothes. You look fabulous in those striped pants and cream top! 😀

The zinnia is a great color for you, style aside. The mocha Old Navy cargo pants deserve placement on my arrow range targets. I agree with dark pants. Khaki is difficult but not impossible. I once had a fabulous one, but I wore them out and couldn't replace them.

The spanx quality definitely shines in this video. That being said i was quite successful with wide leg yoga pants from old navy that i wore over the winter. I almost exclusively wore 3 cotton boho tshirt dresses from old navy last summer. Frankly it's hit or miss with old navy. I did buy my pregnant daughter some maternity dresses from old navy, and she is wearing them a lot. I would say i return 65% of what i order.

Know they aren’t your fave but they looked so classy with the loafers. True story. When I lived in Hong Kong, I had a Canadian friend who had three pair of shoes. Sandals, low heels, and sneakers. Great video. I respect and enjoy both Serena & you and watch all your videos. Yes Talbots has excellent quality garments but to me they look rather matronly. I am a retired professional seamstress so I look at an outfit from a different point of view. I appreciated the Old Navy outfits you featured as more fresh and current looking. Not a fan of the slacks you wore but did like the color on you. It made you look younger and more current. Pink top was very becoming on you. The spanks garments although comfortable and of great quality looked to me as tho you were swallowed in them. Your weight loss is wonderful and a great confidence booster. Kudos to you. I prefer to see you in some lighter colors and more fitting styles. Other comments suggested khaki slack but perhaps a different cut , I second that idea. Fit is key when getting dressed and it can be challenging. I usually have to alter most things I wear. I have very good luck for fit with JJill. Love their styles, fit excellent and great quality garments. I struggle with many styles myself as I’m 72 and a petite myself. Wide leg pants are not our friend. Our legs are too short to pull that look off successfully. Rather then shorts I always wear skorts. Love you teaming up with Serena and I’ll look forward to more content from both of you. Cathy, you should try the cream color Spanx Johnny collar top with the camel color pants and loafers. It would pick up the trim on the loafers so great! Also, the highlights in your hair really pop with that cream color. All the best to you!

What a cool idea for a video! So glad you mentioned the weight of the Spanx twill crops - stopped me from buying them! I think Old Navy is so hit and miss - and I have wasted money with them - I would have been better off paying more somewhere else. No question that Spanx and Talbots are good quality - it's just that I never find colors I like at Talbots. I prefer more muted colors and especially this season, they are just too saturated for my taste (and coloring).

Hi Cathy, great video and I'll be very honest here. Ditch that black/white striped sweater! It does nothing for you at all and it hides your weight loss...The pink and khaki shade pants outfit is a big no no too...A blouson type top would look so good on you! Or tuck in a longer top and then pull it out to make a blouson type look, hides the apple. Just a couple of suggestions coming from a good place. Love you and love your videos!! ♥

Hi Cathy, I'm relaxing on a Sun and enjoying your video. Yes, I don't like both beige pants, the jogger bc it tapers in too much and not proportioned looking and the beige wide-legged the material is too thick, twill or twill like I think...I was wondering if washed a few times if it would relax, but you also don't want to get stuck with it in case it doesn't. If the pants were linen it would be great, anything more drapey. I agree with the pink top. I think if it was a inch longer it would hang better. Otherwise I like the other outfits and the loafer too. You're lucky you can wear them. I have pudgy feet and they're too tight across the foot area below the toes.

I guess I have always seen you more as a hourglass shape. I love the Spanx pants and wonder if I could wear them. I am short and have a bigger torso and very small flat rear end and thin legs and have never been able to wear leggings. Black pants sometimes emphasizes that. I’ve lost some weight so that may help.

I think that the issue with the pants is that they were very tapered so they weren’t flattering. If you had a boot cut or a wide leg brown pants, I think it would look good on you.

I had a spanx tank top get stuck on my head when i was taking it off and literally got stuck that way!!!! Im just not sure about their products!!!

I agree. I had a Spanx under-bust camisole that I loved and it got stretched out and I ordered a new one and they had changed the bottom hem of it so it cut in and rolled up. I haven’t had any luck with any brand not rolling up or down and I’ve tried sizing WAY up, which didn’t help. I just need something that holds in my spare tire.

I don't care for the Old Navy looks. Regarding lighter colored trousers, you might find more flattering ones at Talbots. I'm still wearing my khakis and l8ght tan ones from 10 years ago!
