Sir, what if we encounter a question that particularly requires some new trick that we do not know of? i mean, tried this question for 15 minutes and no got result and you just started it with the pin point trick how can we learn more of them and what to do if we see these type of questions in main exam? How we can find these triplets without assuming.. Because there is no clue or info about it... it is kinda sketchy question..

Hi Sir , I think we dont need to know the trick to solve the question , we can use ( fdbieh* 3 = dbiehf ) i.e. [300000f + 30000d + 3000b + 300i + 30e + 3h]= [100000d + 10000b + 1000i +100e + 10h + f ] .......on solving this we get 42857f = dbiehf and we can compare both sides to get d,b,i,e,h and then we can easily find remaining variables. Please confirm if this is the right approach as it is less time consuming as well

Yes even I solved it w/o the trick. Since product of a 6 digit number with 3 ..is a 6 digit number..thus most significant digit could only be..1,2 or 3. This thus reduces the search space...and could be done easily using hit and trial.

50% of the questions are not worth doing. you should have got 99% even with 45% marks being a general engineering male.
