Love your videos. I find they allow me to reflect on why I’ve bought and sold about a dozen or so old cars over the last 40 years. The last one a ‘76 Gran Fury Police pkg. took 18 years to get on the road. They are hard work, and can be endless money pits. But very rewarding, as I learned about more than just cars, and met many interesting people. Not for me to judge why this person won’t let go. Just glad that I did. Keep them coming Patrick.

Is that bracket on the steering shaft for column steering?
@patrickglennnicholsmusclec16745 жыл бұрын
Jessica Greene no. The automatic trans did have a different steering column in comparison to a manual trans. The lever located behind the power brake booster worked in conjunction with linkage rods to prevent theft and provide safety. The ignition switch must be turned past the lock position in order to pull the transmission out of the Park position. An car equipped with an automatic trans with column shift or floor shift shared the same steering column.
