Thank you for sharing. I loved all of them that orange pick up was my favorite look brand new to me and the 409s were great. I think the only car I wasn’t interested in. Is that old Malibu highway patrol car

@CarlRossi restoration has been started , I found the correct 1st generation hood, found a original dash and had it completely restored to the correct specs. Car has been disassembled, will be restored back to original , now we have decided also that the car will be painted the original Fathom Blue. We also have found out that this car was a special ordered by a GM executive so this is a brass hat car. They were often highly optioned as this one is, this car will be worth the investment .Will be restored back to its original build sheet .

how many 67s had headrests on bucket seats.i had a 67 ss back in the 80s that had headrests and to the best of my knowledge were original.there was writing on the inside of the seat stating original owners name mileage and date he sold it in 71.i got it with unfit ownership in 80.its the only 67 ive seen with headrests.

I have a September 1969 Kansas City built '70 convert, L48 350 equipped Malibu that I have owned (unmolested) since 1982. A few questions: There is a chrome piece under each headlight pair that attaches underneath the headlights and is behind the bumper at each end. I assumed that this is an early build part that disappeared during the production run. Should this car have those? Also are those snaps on the molding around the convertible top? Mine does not have snaps, you cram a plastic tab along the edge of the top boot underneath that molding to hold the boot in place. Lastly, back in November 1982, I went to the local Chev dealer parts counter and ordered a cowl induction hood along with all the parts to go with it. Now, 42 years later, it's still waiting to go on the car. Can you explain the difference in cowl induction hood types? Unfortunately, mine was very poorly optioned. It has A/C, a power top, and power drum brakes. Cranberry red with white bench interior and top (gag). So instead of a boring resto, I want to do a restomod on it when funds permit.

Dang. The guy needed a third hand. The factory was clueless about these. Had they just folded it in half and threw it in the glovebox most people would have just stuffed it into their owners manual rather than getting destroyed over time. Especially ones put under floor mats.

18,000 miles? NO WAY, seat wear, rust, paint etc. more likely 118K or even 218K ( these odometers turn over too 00000 after 100K. Still a worthy project.

Don’t take this the wrong way but 50,000$ restoration and still not an original numbers matching. I have been down that road myself and I can’t tell you it’s not worth it. Good flipper
