Clipped from Super Ani live stream (23/07/20)
Link to the full stream below. Kim Jung Gi gave a lesson to his viewers about how proportions and dimensions roughly work and how important they are, so I uploaded parts of it if anyone wanted to see it again. The full stream and channel has way more tips and content so go check them out.
Super Ani: • 2020.07.23 Live Comics...
Some Notable Points Summarized:
*) Proportions and dimension are very important in drawing any object/person. You must pay attention to them and keep them in your head to draw more accurately.
*) Everything has a fix proportion such as the human body ( at least its core structure has some key points).
*) Study the object you are going to draw and workout its proportions & dimension.
*) To describe an object's dimensions perfectly, pay attention to the center line of its volume. (Center line is always in the middle and appears straight when you look at it from the top or front, but it will look curved if the object is tilted or looked at from an angle).
*) Your lines define the dimension of an object so think about the angle and curves you put in them.
*) Objects shorten depending on the angle you look at them (if one side of an object is farther away it will look more narrow/smaller than the closer parts of it).
*) If you memorize the proportions of an object, it will be easier to remember its shape so you can draw it next time without needing a reference. (This takes practice).
*) In real life, you can observe proportions of things and how they change based on your eye level and angle as you look at them.
*) There can be multiple vanishing points that change but the eye level always stays the same. Only objects that are next to each other share the same vanishing point.
I do not own this video. I just edited it. Hope you enjoy!

U need to focus and always think about 3 things in art. Its a eye level, proportions and how they applied to the dimensions.
