I thought it was just me! I did make it through the Christina Henry's book, but I was going to DNF it. I did DNF How to Make a Horor Movie and Survive. It just didn't make any sense. I am not even going to try Paul's book because I can't really get into his books anyway. I am sorry you didn't like them, but I am glad it wasn't just me.

I'm about halfway through Horror Movie now. I'm not sure how I feel about it and I have no idea how I'm going to talk about it when I'm done. I'll probably pass on the other two books based on your reviews. I hope you find a book that works for you soon!

"{Horror movie" is so... lackluster to me. Although I was able to get through the book, I just didn't feel scared and I felt the story is so meaningless - this book is more like a litery horror fiction with psychological aspects. "The house that horror built" is so ridiculous and I think the real target audience for this book should be children under 13 - they will get scared more easily reading this book. The ending is so anticlimatix and there is no twist. Everything happened just like I anticipated.

bummed you didn't like Horror Movie! I also really like Head Full of Ghosts, so you not liking this one is making me think maybe I won't either 😬. Hearing you talk about horror movies...and this might be a totally random and off-base suggestion, but I think Longlegs might suit your tastes. It's a new horror movie that is coming out in a couple weeks that follows a serial killer and a detective and seems to include some occult themes. There's a few teasers and trailers that are out if you're interested!
