I did this loop plus added Twin mountain for a total distance of 9 miles. The first view was my favorite since you can see Mt. Greylock and Mt. Frissell, 2 state highpoints from it, along with other famous mountains in CT and Mass. I found this incredibly challenging with all the uphills. I think you undersold the difficulty a little. There is also an awesome lookout point at the notch, which was a perfect lunch spot. I'd actually recommend going counter clockwise as you'd do all the elevation in the beginning and then have mostly flat on your way back. But its a great introduction to the Devil's Path and I can't wait to go back.

Happy to find your channel. Currently in New York but sold my home to travel and hike. i use to take my camera with me hiking but now I try to be as minimalistic as possible (with every aspect of my life), even hiking, barefoot at times. Just wondering what camera you use to document stuff like this if I ever want to start again. I thought about GoPro so I could still “be in the moment” and not behind a screen Thanks for the content

another fun video... you are in my backyard.... you missed a very cool old rock quarry and stone chairs you could have thrown a trekking pole over to it lol :)

I prefer scrambling up - so clockwise is for me. If you have the time and energy, tack on Twin as an out-n-back

Any way you can show on a map where that third lookout spot is?
