You have cernua dialled in, amiga mia! 😍 how nice to see those little bright orange blooms again! Aaaaaannnnddd, today I found a bud on my coccinea 2.0 🙌🏼🥳🤸🏼♀ incredible. Definitely did not expect it to come around so soon, but... we will enjoy the bloom and then nip it off prematurely. Beautiful cymbidium blooms 😍 great update and I am happy to see that your coccinea is growing a new growth, also so close to the mount, the new roots will have no choice but to go into the mount 👍🏼 wishing you a fabulous rest of your day, meine liebe Freundin!! Hope it has been wonderful for you so far ❤🌸

Hi dear Nina 🥰, hoping you are feeling better!!! I am trilled with my cernua. At first, I thought she was not going to bloom and I thought I should have given it more light. But around here everything seems to be at a slower pace and there they were, 5 buds at first and then, boom, 3 more. so happy about it. I don't know about my coccinea, really sad about the roots. But very happy that yours is going to bloom, hurray 🤸♀️🤸♀️ Looking forward to admire its beauty. I have to get hold of a coccinea in good shape, somehow, I love those flowers. I recently heard of a nursery in Portugal that imports from Brazil and they sell after having orchids aclimatized. They have several species Sophronitis for sale on their website. I keep forgetting to call them at reasonable hours, I only remember when it is too early or too late in the day. Still, I wonder why they do not show up when I Google and I am surprised that they are not more widely known. Have a lovely day amiga mia, hoping you are having bright sun to warm up your days. We had some beautiful sunny days last week with nights of 6C but warmish is back with nights of 16C as the rain is punishing us again, pouring and pouring!!! Much love to you with best wishes 🥰😘💖

Great video, enjoyed it a lot. They are charming little fellas! They grow well for you. I like the cochinea shape more but didn't know its so fussy. Nearly was getting a hybrid one few days ago but it looked so weak or small plant and decided to leave it for now.Thanks for sharing and happy growing.

Hi Mary 🙋♀️ good morning and thank you. Me too, coccinea shape is gorgeous but so difficult to get hold of a good plant. I believe you made the right option because with orchids getting a good plant is essencial, especially with ones with such small structures. Have a lovely Sunday 😘😘😘

Obrigada Ana 🙋♀️Espero que a sua floresça para si em breve. Visto que ela cresce bem talvez ela precise de mais claridade do que tem tido até agora, inclusive algum sol direto de manhazinha ou ao fim da tarde. Boa sorte e bom domingo 🌷😘 💖

It sure is, coccinea yellow is rare and even if they have have for sale it will sure be out of my budget. But so far I would be happy to have my coccinea grow well and bloom even with the red flowers. which are my favourite, anyway 💖💖💖

Hi Fernanda! Your cattleyas seem to be doing well for you. I have a tiny cernua that is in two pieces. I don’t know if it will make it but I hope so. It is testing on moss at the moment. Take care and have a great week ahead! 😊😻💌
@FernandaNascimentoOrchids2 жыл бұрын
Hi Beverly, they could do better I suppose but cernua was a bit of a pleasant surprise. When I first called the nursery and asked if they had a cernua, the manager said that she had one but she would not reccommend it because it was a week plant. And then I went to visit that same place some time later and the same cenua was still there, also 2 pieces at least on the same mount and I decided to take the risk and I brought it with me. Turns out I was lucky because it loved the place and started to grow roots and even bloomed later in the season. It is so good when a plant grows well!!! I hope your cernua does the same and makes you happy 🙏🥰 Thank you, have a wonderful sunday 💖🙌😘

Don't be !!! Iris, my new baby dog german shepherd, has shredded mine to pieces 😥😣 My fault, of course, she is only a baby and I should have been more careful. But it is a pity because it was doing amazingly with lots of new growths that grew recently and would bloom shortly as they bloom when the leaf opens. Of it, I managed to save 4 tiny pieces but I am not sure if they will survive. Iris could have grabbed a twinkle but no, she had to go for the cernua grrrrhhhhhh!!!!

@@FernandaNascimentoOrchids OH NO!!! The youngsters are always so wild. My partner's father got a border terrier puppy this spring and he's still so full of energy and somewhat naughty haha. (Iris is such a nice name though. "Rainbow". 😻) I really hope you will be able to safe it. Hopefully, it was just one plant 😕
@FernandaNascimentoOrchids Жыл бұрын
@@MattbyNatureSo far that was the only damage.in what concerns orchids. But I have to keep her under supervision at all times. She likes to nibble on my suculents in the pots. None of my previous dogs showed any interest in eating my plants. She's been with us only 2 weeks and she is only 3 months old. I hope in time she will understand plants are not for her to grab. Despite her Young age she already knows it is wrong because yesterday she pulled out a suculent from the pot and run away with it with a naughty look in her face 😅
@MattbyNature Жыл бұрын
@@FernandaNascimentoOrchids At least she knows! How do you make her stop though? I'm not going to lie I kinda like it when they know they're being naughty and you can tell haha. The cat we had when I was growing up would sneak in mice and birds OBVIOUSLY knowing that he's not supposed to but still did it in sneak mode haha. Did Phoenix still meet Iris? My partner really really wants a dog once we live together and I'd much rather have a cat. Don't get me wrong, dogs are great and I really like them but cats are so much less work and easier to read for me.
@FernandaNascimentoOrchids Жыл бұрын
When Iris is about to do something wrong we say firmly NO, several times, if need be. At this young age they can understand, especially for the tone of voice. Especially with german shepherds, one needs to be kind but firm because they have strong personality. They need to understand who's in charge and they learn fast. However, especially during the first two years most dogs are very prone to make trouble once and a while. It's Youth time 😊. Cats are really more manageable considering we don't have to walk them or train them as hard. They need to learn rules too, though or they will become the masters of the house. Some cats are also very naughty and demanding. Our dog Phoenix died one month ago, about 3 weeks before we got Iris. She got a limphoma and only lasted 3 months after diagnosis. That is why we have this new dog. We chose a german shepherd because we always had this breed and we get along fine with them. Very intelligent and disciplined dogs. They are eager to learn and are very friendly. Always ready to play but staying calm when we need them to. Our cat Olivia is under great stress because of the new dog. That is, she loves her dogs but she expects them to stay put and not mind her so much. She is happy to cuddle with them when they are laying down. Our previous dogs did so because they were adults when she came. Whereas Íris wants to play with her as if Olivia were also a dog, by chasing her around 😅
