Primers are only recommended on passivated and inactive surfaces. The function of the primer is to assist the product in curing on these inactive surfaces, and also to ensure full cure occurs when bondlines are at the maximum recommended for the product being used. If you check the TDS for any Loctite anaerobic, it will show you the difference in cure speed, and more importantly, it will give you a guide to the effect on cured strength of the product. Driving the cure speed up is not always a good idea. The faster the anaerobic cures, the less likely it will crosslink fully. This leads to reduced shear and compressive strengths. Accelerated cure speeds can also lead to curing of product before you can complete the assembly.

Hi, what is the difference between 7649 and 7471 please, I think I need on NPT three for my car , its aluminum, also I hesitate with 542 ans 545 . thank for tour help
