Very underrated scene honestly. Love how this is a kind of experience for Bruce, putting him in the shoes of Selina, seeing what being a woman in this city, in this club is like. People looking at you like an object and seeing terrible things happening in this club, while you can't do a thing about it, with the corruption ect, like everyone seems like the worst in this place💀 Love it!
@Hibernicus19682 жыл бұрын
Honestly it never seemed to me for an instant like he was even remotely considering from that angle. This is a version of Batman that is hyper-focused on this mission to fight crime, and he's concerned about literally _nothing_ else. Even his own personal fortune, Alfred warns him, is evaporating from his neglect of his company, and he doesn't care at all. He's a recluse who comes out only at night to fight crime as the Batman. I'm sure he noticed the drug use in the club, and the corruption, with city councilmen and half the DA's office in there. But people coming onto Selina... I don't think it was even on his radar -- except insofar as it could be useful to him, to have her get close to the DA and wheedle information out of him.
@Flo.2005.2 жыл бұрын
@@Hibernicus1968 he literally says "those guys have a little problem with eye contact don't they?" And Matt Reeves himself the director and writer of this movie said that this was his idea when writing the scene, the idea that Batman would see what it's like to be a woman in this club and in the city.
@Hibernicus19682 жыл бұрын
@@Flo.2005. Oh I don't mean that he completely failed to notice the details like that; just that he probably didn't even consider it from a "hey, so that's what it's like to be a woman" perspective. I don't think that's something that would have been important to him. His mind being preoccupied with the mission, and with making IDs of these people, I think he was focused on that mission, and not having a feminist epiphany.
@anthonyag-si88502 жыл бұрын
@@Hibernicus1968 Right I don't think it have a feminist purpose in that. It's almost common in real life that people look at women like that...kind of shame... Batman is focused and is certainly aware of that and use the seductress look of Selina on purpose. He knew she gonna catch those eyes and informations as well.

@trueblue62012 жыл бұрын
@@barisbal7782 I mean in Hush's introduction comic Riddler basically was Hush. He plotted the plan, provided training for Elliot, hired Scarecrow to make psychological profiles to better manipulate the others, and had the knowledge of Bruce's secret. @@GhostOfMuaddib Both are just suggestions to make the OP work in a film, although yeah maybe they do conflict put together.
