I get the sense that Warner Bro picked up something from the movie IT. The violins in the music makes it so eerie, reminds me of the violin in the IT movie trailer, also the theme of fear highlighted in the movie. The same fear the kids had for the clown in IT, why not give that energy but instead its Batman that brings in the fear. @スハカサ2 жыл бұрын
how to take 'literally' take this movie huh?
@gaiusfulmen2 жыл бұрын
@@スハカサ The sentence you are referring to is not 'You can literally take this movie'. It is 'You can literally take this movie and print it as a comic book'. The word "take" is defined by Oxford languages as 'to remove someone or something from a particular place', or 'carry or bring with one; convey' (senses 2, 3). In this case the particular place is the hard drive of a computer or camera. 'Convey' certainly covers this situation as well. The word 'literally' simply means 'in a literal or exact manner'. Most definitions of said word also include an informal sense with their formal one. This is because the purpose of language is to convey information, much like digital information might be conveyed from hard drive to physical copy. The purpose of spoken or written language is not to maintain itself or achieve some arbitrary standard of correctness. So yes, one can literally take a movie and print it out. After all, a movie can only be said to literally exist as digital (or, very rarely, analogue) information. Simply export the footage and print it out, select key frames, and arrange as needed. To conclude, I would advise you to stop acting pedantic. On some level you must understand that such a minor grammatical error (and one that has so little to do with the core idea expressed in the comment you are supposedly replying to) is irrelevant and not worth being critical over. There is enough foolishness and negativity in the world already.

@isaitavaresvieira28762 жыл бұрын
I love how self-conscious the movie is about how strange the idea of someone dressed like a bat actually is, the cops and thugs even recognize and make fun of it and Matt Reeves repurposed the absurdity of someone dressed up as a bat to be used as something to be afraid of too, Batman appearance isn't as scary when he is on the lights so the thugs and cops aren't scared of Batman appearance itself but still... the idea of what a tormented soul or using the cops words, a freak, lies under that mask is scary by itself, couple this with how Batman portrays itself, he doesn't make facial expressions, doesn't flinch, doesn't cower and doesn't back down by an inch when in a fight and while in a crime scene he doesn't even look at cops around him, like he's sure he can take everyone in that room together if he has to. Those elements combined with his afinnity with the shadows make him a pretty scary symbol.

Batman just let her control him, that's some modern bs right there Not only did they ruin him, they ruined Catwoman! She would NEVER play the victim, Catwoman is supposed to actually be an "Independent" female, instead, she's just some poorly written trash excuse of a character Batman beyond had more symbolism in its INTRO, there is nothing in this new batman that connects or has true meaning in life, it only connects to soft brained indoctrinated collectivists. Edit: You will never connect to anything awe-inspiring if you somehow convinced yourself this trash has any of batmans moral traits, they have completely disgraced his character and I bet they'll kill him off and replace him with a minority. Such as the way he underestimates his own strength and falls on top of the mayor after the first hit as if he’s surprised it only took one hit for him to fall. And then how he accidentally flings the weapon across the room. And of course Paul Danos performance ties it all together from the sounds he makes after each impact. I love how he's not beating up the bad guys for justice or peace or honor or any other noble endeavor; he's beating them up because he's pissed off and needs someone to take it out on. He keeps reclaiming vengeance for his parents murder every night instead of seeking actual justice, and the whole movie is about him realizing that he's come a lot closer to being like the Riddler in his quest for violence against the corrupt, and the process of him accepting a higher calling as Batman to actually do good for the city and protect it in a more substantial way than just going out at night and beating up street thugs.
@Jackholiday10252 жыл бұрын
He’s beating them up for all those reasons. Obviously it’s personal to him and it was more about his frustration in the beginning but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t about justice as well, of course it was. Yes he needed to learn how to channel his rage better and be a healthier and productive Batman and Bruce Wayne but I think this idea that he was ever close to being like the riddler is ridiculous and mad corny.
@Supperdude9 Жыл бұрын
Hence by the end of the movie, where he's literally leading the people of Gotham through the darkness, it also shows the humanity that Batman has.
@stoiccrane4259 Жыл бұрын
I don't think its likable that much at all to be honest. It's kind of superficial how the goons are portrayed as thoughtless idiots to be trounced with limited glimpses of their underlying humanity. Batman attacks the symptoms of societal dysfunction without taking time to reflect on or remediate the causes. Just portrayed as an angry, entitled, over-priviledged white guy in this without taking the time to explore the psychology driving the behaviors.

this opening does a wonderful job of creating contrasts: riddler is an unknown terror, his location revealed to the audience whilst his presence is unacknowledged within the film, creating this sense of helplessness and anticipation that builds until he suddenly screams and murders the mayor. Batman, by contrast, is known to both the audience and the characters within the film, yet his location is kept hidden, so you really do feel the paranoia of the characters - this film is I think the first time batman has ever felt genuinely scary on screen, he has a presence that is unmatched, and the film still does this whilst managing to make him compelling as a character and even having an arc
@arthursouza72 жыл бұрын
