Sir with all due respect, T20 is not a format to judge captaincy - winning against India is no big deal in T20 . It was Shaheen that won that 2021 match. Babar was simply useless - could not develop any player instead forced retirements of Asad Shafiq, Azhar Ali and Yasir.

The poor guy has an overall winning ratio of 57%. For comparison sake, Misbah has 51%, Inzi 53%, and great Wasim with 59%. The only other Pak captain who has done better recently is Sarfaraz with 61%. Azam has captained 83 matches (all of T20Is, ODIs, and tests) against the stronger Aus, Ind, Eng, SA, and NZ, winning 33. Win ratio: 38% Win ratio for Misbah is 37% against top teams. Quite significantly, Azam averages 63+ as captain in a winning cause - destroying often repeated arguments that his batting performances were bad. After the 90s, Pak has declined as a side except for a few flashes of brilliance in 2009 and 2017. Azam at least tried to keep the team competitive, but now they have become a joke with a test captain who doesn't even earn his place on the side as a player. Azam might not be the best Pak leader but definitely not the worst. Pak fans need to think more analytically than just getting into fits of emotional outbursts. As an Indian fan, I don't care two hoots what PCB do with their players. But the stats don't lie.

Gents.. Babar Azam's stats were quite a revelation. Not a single KZbinr or cricket expert have pointed out this (at least i have not come across). People get emotional when the team loses and the blame starts. This created a perception that Babar has been a bad captain and his performances have dipped due to that. Please check against whom he has won against. All the wins and even runs have come in all the formats against very low ranked teams. Making him and the team look good but whenever they meet higher test playing nation, they do not perform. Pakistan has made to SF to ODI world cup only 1 out of 6 timesin the last 24 years. Babar has never made to SF. Even in T20Is, they played well in 2021 World Cup especially in Dubai/Sharjah wickets especially winning important tosses and also 2022 final being very lucky in terms of somebody else failing and then qulifying. IN genral all Pak performances have in the last 6-7 years have beeen against Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and at times against SL. Sarfaraz cetainly is a good batsman and decent captain.
