I just found out about Judge Caprio today when there was an article in the San Francisco Chronicle about him. I sat down thinking I would watch one episode and found myself watching for over an hour. What a kind, considerate person he is. He is to be commended for his compassion.

@@richiebrown2312 That's not the attitude my good man, we stand together for change, divided we fall. Everyone (who isn't an indoctrinated subservient fool) knows the injustice system is broken. People, all of us, need to stand up and have a voice if the situation is to change. The first huge issue is that the injustice system is a for-profit industry thus the more people that are incarcerated the more money they make. Justice and the for-profit business model are simply not compatible. It really is unarguably disgraceful. Obviously, the law can show leniency as demonstrated by this judge here over and over again. But most judges chose to hurt and maim for the most victimless crimes. Just having to take a day off work to turn up to court is punishment enough in most cases.

Judge Capria displays qualities that most people that come before him are very lucky to witness. He is no shmuck and not anybody's fool but he is fair in all the matters that are brought before him. The incredible thing about him is he is not just a kind guy when administering his decisions but is a sweet guy and the kind of person that people look at and often wish they had a dad or a grandpa just like him. My wife and I watch him on KZbin every chance we have and we live in Thailand since moving from the states.

I have encountered the oposite side of the terms law and order and twisted and turned into how I interpreted and turned into the way the law is and how it's person's enforcing the laws and decipining me to order me to OPEN MY EARS SHUT THE F--K up , listen to the officer and or officers presenting the charges ( whether I agree or nor SHUT UP AND LISTEN , respect the individual AS I WAS TAUGHT BY ANY AND EVERY ADAULT FIGURE to me as a youth , replay the situation and play it in the terms they witnessed it and how myself played it to be as I liked to think ??, then play it as what happened , I also was taught by my elders WHAT NOT TO DO!!! , and I wish I followed directions years and years ago differently??? ( HUGE HUGE MISTAKE OF MINE !!!) and thru my years as the accused of and actual guilt of actions , and my ASSHOLEISM , I met alot and I mean alot of municipal judges and a few comments plea judges , and they all deserve my apologies of disrespect towards themselves and thier fellow members in the judicial world in which I have personally experienced the most opertunities by officers of the law and I have come to the conclusion this judge here is really what they all thought thier gift and elected to public service they offered themselves to , there would be alot more judges with this respect to any person WHO JUSTLY SHOWS THE RESPECT IN ANY LEGAL MATTER , YOU wouldn't believe how far RESPECT goes and the JUSTICE respect gets???? I took 30 years of defiance, and met a representative of law and order system and over the now 30 plus years he has become probably the most respected individual in my life TODAY ????

This Judge is the nicest man, I also wish we had Judges in our area with this kind of heart. I had open heart surgery. Emergency surgery and a Judge in my county put a warrant for my arrest for child support knowing full well I was in the hospital. I was 16 days late on paying my support. Never late prior to this. And two Deputy's came to the hospital to arrest me. Of course they couldnt. I was hooked up to 4 IV's a feeding tube and a drain tube coming out of my chest. But the court wanted my money no matter what. I could never see this Judge doing something so crass. Love this JUDGES HEART. Great man.

If the rest of the Judges in any jurisdiction showed the heart and understanding that this Judge showed in these cases that were brought before him our legal system would run like a fine tuned watch. His ruling's show what a Judge should be, and should be required to be watched and examined by all new Judges and all other Judges and graded on their results and understanding of his ruling. I have not seen any other Judges that meet his calm and reasoned decisions and that in itself show me, at least what is wrong in our legal system. Thank you Judge Frank Caprio for a lesson in how our legal system should work and how a Judge can truly make a difference.Great work your Honor, and thank you for the lesson!!

I am overwhelmed each time I watch the beauty of this Judge's heart. He reminds me of Jesus. He covers up with compassion and gives a fine with gentle equity. With loving understanding about the difficulties of life. In his presence I feel like the little I was when I was abused telling myself if I had a Dad like this , it would never have happened to me. Just makes me love him,,, Tears are flowing down because he does good to us people who have been broken in so many ways. We strive through with faith in Christ Jesus and boldness... If the whole justice system worked like this court, and showed even a 10th of the compassion our prisons will be empty. Parking your car should not be illegal to begin with. I am a disabled veteran and i have been pulled into court for not paying 1 ticket, here to find out my disability was not considered in the writing of the ticket. The judge read the summons and dismissed it because i was parked legally in a handicap zone with no timer or pay meter. It violated city ordinance, county ordinance, state ordinance and also federal ordinance. The ticketing officer was reprimanded, made to apologize and sent through a re-training course. She could have lost her job but i told the judge no, i would have settled for the ticket being voided. ADA laws were violated as well however i asked the judge not to send it for federal level. Ignorance of the law is not a defense and the judge slammed her pretty hard for it because they take hours of education on the very topic of disabled/handicap ticket. I was in clear compliance with all laws and ordinances. The judge apologized to me even though he didn't have to, the chief even apologizes for not training the parking enforcement officers on proper procedures. The attorney in the defense tried to use the how do we really know he was disabled. You don't get a Disabled License plate in this state without them contacting the Doctors/Military/Hospital etc. The judge slammed the attorney hard because if i have that license plate it means the DMV has certified through medical records i am disabled, they don't need me to provide proof. While i applaud CJ Frank Caprio i just wish some of that justice was served here. Many of my disabled veteran friends and those non-military are regularly ticked in this town, only one case was ever prosecuted because the tags were stolen. 129 tickets issued 1 prosecuted from 2010 till 2017 While that may seem like few tickets, the total overall ticket rate for that 7 year span was over 5000, prosecuted 178, most ended in dismissal and some were actual infractions and fines etc were issues. Pay attention to the law, read the ADA( Americans with Disability Act) read the Constitution, and know the city your in. They have a thousand loopholes they can use against you. Never give them that chance. This judge rocks, and fines or dismissals all seem compliant and compassionate. We need this guy on the supreme court. Thank.

Alot of these city ordinances are completely garbage. For a city of 180,000 people (that's the size of medium sized city's in Florida) there is a bunch of ridiculousness...can't park here or here or there but here for 20min but you can't feed the meter. In the immortal words of Hank Hill, I'll tell you what: I won't ever feel the need to visit Providence Rhode island or Rhode island in general.

However, I have been in front of a few good ones here. Unfortunately, the norm is so arrogant that it takes away from the good ones. But, where I live now? You can see all members of the court shopping in the same stores, (Wal mart included). And the majority I've met so far are tremendously nice.but I'm gonna try to not have to be in THEIR office anymore to find out otherwise.

When citizens of this country are in need of funds to survive and, Alot of them are not working right now. I wish there were more people be like yourself judge.
