Hi! What would you recommend for discolouration and hard skin on toes ?
@TheDrFoot3 жыл бұрын
Really depends! Some patients can use some over the counter medication to reduce the discolouration but if the lesion is risen then they tend not to work, let me give you an example of a acne scar, if its discoloured then you can use over the counter products but if the lesion is risen then its much more difficult then you may need either something similar to the toe lift see toelift.blogspot.com/ or surgery

My toes look more like the post op toe lift surgery image with the purple nail vanish only with hard skin and slightly more discolouration. Even when I was using a pumice stone ( a compressed, smoother version) with salicylic acid ( the one for cracked heels) on the hard skin the discolouration remained and the hard skin returned. Do I need something further, I.e removal ?
@TheDrFoot3 жыл бұрын
@@Josie1o_o1 firstly may I ask are you a person of colour? If you are then DO NOT USE salicylic acid on the tops of your toes, they will scar! I cannot advise what you should do as I have not examined your feet, I would recommend you visit a podiatrist.

@@TheDrFoot yes I am of colour, that was recommended to me by a chiropodist at my Gp. That’s why I thought to mention as it goes against what you advised. I’m thinking over time with the corn cap plasters damaged the surface of my skin. Lessons have been learnt.

I have surgical scarring across the top of the 2nd and 3rd metatarsals with the mattress stitching and i cannot reduce the scarring, especially the 3rd. I cannot attach a picture. I also have a titanium plate and screws on medial side of left foot from bunionectomy. Any advice you have i would certainly appreciate. Thank you

Hi i am so pleased to have found this video. ijanice here from jamaica. , I have actually been considering tattooing my two corner toes on both feet because my ccars unlike most people are discussing/sharing here are lighter than m,y skin tone, thyre not raised too much but the skin is harder than the rest of my skin. what would you recommend instead of tattooing the areas affected? thanks again for the enlightenment. ps i definitely would try you injection procedure if it was available here by the way.
