My issue was a bad coil pack. When looking at the back of the coil pack you could see a crack in the epoxy, opposite of the #3 cylinder. Replaced it in about 45 minutes and it runs like a champ again.

Thank you for this video! I like how straighforward it is. Have a 2021 Ford EcoSport, and it started idling rough this week, then the check engine light went on, and I lost 50% of power going up a freeway hill (when the dreaded WRENCH light came on - but has since disappeared.) It's throwing the P0303 code but nothing else comes up. I have 62,484 miles on it in two years (I love the drive.). I'm really curious that my maintenance schedule says a tune up at 100k, but Ford itself recommends 60k for the EcoSport in other spots. Wondering if it's ever possible to need a tune up early, if you've racked up those miles rather quickly?

Hey bro I’m having same problem just change spark plugs and ignition coil and still comes up also car kinda jerk sometimes when I accelerate and gets to a high rpm

My 2014 Escape is currently in the shop after the engine light came on and this was the code. The dealership has investigated and apparently none of these items are the issue, now they say they need to take it apart to get to the cause. 8hrs worth of work is a lot of money to just determine the problem. Any suggestions on what it could be past what your video covered? Thank you! 3/2/24

While not common it is possible there is a mechanical issue such as a bad valve or a crack in the cylinder.

I have this code and it won’t go away. You can feel a slight giggle to the truck. Changed out the spark plugs, ignition coils, wires, add red line fuel cleaner, still runs the same. The only thing I noticed with my scan tool is that while it has p0303 the 02 and cat lights are blinking at the top. Any correlation with that being the problem? Toyota 1995 tacoma sr5

A misfire will always lead to a cat clog/failure if left for too long

So the cylinder 3 misfire would be the actual #3 cylinder and not the 3rd cylinder in the firing order correct? I have not been able to get a definitive answer on this.

I got a 02 explorer with the 4.0l v6 i got a p0302 code i put new spark plugs new spark plug wires new coil pack and new injectors and seals and intake gaskets i can't figure it out please help

If you replaced the parts, it is likely in the wiring. I would test to be sure it is getting spark and also check the wiring at the fuel injector. It is also possible there is a mechanical problem, like a bad valve or crack in the cylinder, but that is not common.
