How to fix a P2138 Code: Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch D/E Voltage Correlation. A P2138 Code is set when the ECM/PCM detects that the signals from the two throttle position sensors don’t correlate.
The sensor on the gas pedal is called the Accelerator Pedal Position (APP).
The sensor on the throttle body is called the Throttle Position (TP) Sensor.
Some vehicles have a Throttle Body Relearn procedure if the sensors are replaced.

@HVAC Mechanic, I been looking for a tutorial like this which provides step by step instructions on how the accelerator pedal and throttle body work together. Kudos on the great tutorial; anyway, my girl's car, a 2002 ford fiesta, has been giving either an "EAC FAIL" error with flashing lights or the P2138 error code with my OBD2 scanner tool. I have already replaced the accelerator pedal and the problem went away for I think about a month and now it's back again. My girl took her car to this mechanic who says its the throttle body without providing any definitive proof. So because she's stressing me out about getting her car fixed, I went ahead and ordered the throttle body which will arrive by the end of the week. Of course, I'm going to be pissed if this doesn't fixed the problem, and I will report back with the results and ask you for further guidance.

Cleaned the throttle body on my 2011 Malibu. Upon startup it stayed at an idle of 3k rpms. Holy smokes.. Yanked it to shop. One minute n 40$ later it was fixed.

Replaced pedal throttle body went thru all wiring, everything stays in parameters even when code pops up, it goes to limp mode, I reset and reset until engine is warm then car is fine, 2011 camaro 3.6

I have a Chevy Spin, I have replaced the pedal with a new one, I have checked all the cables, but there is still a code, and the dashboard indicator is still on

i have a OBD II device to read and clear the engine check sign but it was not often happens...just some time. After i used the device to clear, sometime solve it (did not see in some months) but sometime it again happens. So, maybe the wire was loose some where in connection points!

Hi bro my chevy beat acceleration problem ..sometimes my car does not accelerate at all my machanic change both the sensors but still problem is not solved its working good just sometimes its does not accelerate

Accelerator pedal E stays at 100% even if I just turn the key on. I’ve replaced the gas pedal,throttle body,TPS and ECM. I’ve also replaced the plug on the gas pedal. Any idea on what would cause the accelerator pedal E to stay at 100%?

@@HVAC_Mechanic yesterday I was able to delete the code but then it’d come back and today that didn’t work. I’ve heard it could be something with the pedal connector or possibly the tps connector

Yes I have a 2009 GMC Sierra SLE 5.3/ 4 wheel drive. I put a new throttle body on it and a new accelerator pedal sensor on it and it's still throwing code p2138. Could tell me what else it could be
