Thank you so much for airing this topic. My male husky now 3. Had his first seizure after a VERY bad summer of flea and tick season in the south west. I admit I over dosed my poor boy with trying everything ( I did follow the directions so not to abuse the chemicals) he would have seizures within 12 hours of A monthly flea treatment. Vet refused to listen so I stopped all flea treatment on him used vinegar and Dawn soap in my yard. Also DE. His seizure to date are 3 months apart and always between 5 & 6 am. I refused meds the vets wanted him on and stayed with VET*CBD that is not hemp oil but the bud minus the thc in only olive I oil. I keep local honey with me wherever we go since we mush and hike just in case. What you have said about the wind, the bone marrow/kidney gives my something to research and see if it could help him. So thank you for the food for thought. I am hoping I can make them even further apart to never again.

My Pom has started having seizures his thyroid was low got on meds it helped for 2 weeks and we are still having seizures, tremors and hind leg cramping slipping a bit not as much now . We are now on keppra 😔 he isn’t showing much improvement I don’t understand why he is only 4 he has a very dry nose tho and snores badly but vet said allergies . Idk how to help him

my 11 yo previously active pekingese had IVDD weakness/ toe dragging on one side of his body and pain last Fall. he was given pain meds, kept from jumping /too much activity and he gradually regained strength over six months... was normal / playing . He has had liver issues in the past and takes denamarin. Recently After a heartgard chew in June, now he shakes his head, ears twitch and legs jerk almost constantly and he licks and chews on his back feet .... he cannot rest well. he eats well and plays with toys and goes potty ok. please help I'm afraid to go to vet b/c vet will force a rabies vax which is due. My dog eats both canned dog food and raw veggies and cooked veggies and lightlty cooked ground turkey .

One of my poms cholesterol levels were high and she has liver issues once we changed her to low fat food the seizures stopped

What are your thoughts on rabies shots on 5 lb dogs? I have a small Pom and I’m nervous. He’s had his distemper but his brother had a bad reaction to distemper
