✨ ❤️✨ Sending you love and light!!! There is a channel called , "Teaching Wisdom on the Ages" that has been tremendous help in keeping me present in the now and uplifting me. I feel like I found this video and comment to share this message. As I have not even watched this video yet. However I know the struggle with trauma and addiction and this KZbin channel has taught me so much about our power as humans. ✨❤️✨❤️✨

Was it relapse, or a setback? If there is one thing I have learned in my recovery, it’s that it’s not a straight line. I’ve been now close to six months since my setback. Before that, I made it seven months. I used to think of setbacks as something to be ashamed of, or relapse, but it’s also part of their recovery process. Use the setbacks as fuel to drive your recovery further. I use it to understand my triggers. Reflect on something I haven’t thought of. Of course, I am working with someone to help get some insight. But it’s working.

My addictive personality structure was formed at age 5. I was craving sugar all day long by then. Reforming the personality is where the work is, as codependence and strategy attachments feels like a part of your identity is shedding off.

This is an amazing video doctor snipes. I really appreciate all of the videos that your release. I'm in recovery and I'll be working on a book about my experience soon. I think a lot of the "treatment" out there makes addicts worse, especially young ones who's brains are still developing and forming their view of themselves plus the world. I completely turned my life around and became a professional real estate broker after dealing with trauma and drug addiction from my childhood and teenage years till I was 23 but I still face discrimination and stigma due to my drug possession felonies. In my case, the "treatments" caused more trauma. It's sad that sometimes the court system, 12 steps groups, and other things can really harm people and inflict additional trauma when they're trying to recover, making them worse and keeping them in the same cycle. Especially the 12 step programs. There are some very dangerous people and mindsets in those programs that are contradictory to true recovery.

Such truth Sir, been there myself , 12 steps and narcotics programs only fed my addiction so we have to save ourselves. Thank God for this doctor, I've learned so much from her videos, stay strong and if you fall get back up and keep heading in the right direction. I wish you well Andrew

Children, as thou didst mention Madame Director Snipes, are captives in a willing hostage situation to their captors [their stewards]. And as a result of stress, dependence, and a need to cooperate for survival due to their environments they grew up in as thou didst make mention ...they developed Mal-adaptive patterns of thought &-be-haviours. They, as I, and thou, and them, became something other than what they, and thee, and I, were created to be, yes? 1:TemptationAssault 2:Interaction 3:Consent 4:Captivity 5:Passion of Obsession [cognitive dissonance > disturbance > distortion] - Ignatius Brianchaninov TTFN Doc Snipes
