Town of Salem is a social deduction game similar to Among us and Goose Goose Duck. Among Us/Goose Goose Duck allows you to play the game with up to 4-15 players, Town of Salem allows up to 15 players in a single game.
Like Among Us/Goose Goose Duck, you can be good or evil with factions such as Town, Mafia and Neutrals. Among/Goose Goose Duck us has 2 roles (without mods), town of salem has 33 different characters in the base game. Town of Salem is a great alternative to Among Us/Goose Goose duck if you're looking for another game in the social deduction genre. I felt it was fine. I play this game to enjoy it. Sucks to get a loss at the end, but it was the risk to take when you take 1 to the end instead of taking another greedy night to potentially get backstabbed by a fake claim (I was lil gurl) I think the true thing to feel bad about was not realizing I was in a pipe game. LOL

Dude players like 13 drive me crazy. Fake claiming surv as town is bad, but ESPECIALLY as an investigative role. Did they think they were just gonna claim surv all game and never post their information and make everybody’s actions less informed? They didn’t even have a lookout will ready. They were gonna keep town uninformed even after their death…

Maybe as retri, mayor, or jailor in early game, though even as retri unless you believe its evil heavy that's probably not a good play, but as jailor or mayor its more likely that evils will think you immune because 90% of the time surv claims are immune (and even if they weren't they're not likely nor assumed to be siding with the town so its still a waste of a kill night) and even if it was surv it acts like that the first four nights. Jailor and mayor can't contribute any info to town that can't be had without them claiming unless there's a confirmed tp anyway. But as ti that's just dumb, of any other town role its not that far off of functionally throwing. (and not to mention since both roles are easy to self-confirm and jailor can prove fake jailor claims wrong by killing them)

I understand it's frustrating but I still think it's more acceptable if it's just day 1 chat, I mean people say whatever on day 1 so they don't get attacked even faking vet baits. Like yeah it backfires and it's their fault if it does.

@@torturapesnorrarape I think as d1 chat it's alright just to keep yourself safe for the first night, but the LO didn't have a will prepared when they had a whole night which ultimately meant they never intended to share information till late game.

@@xioana yea but if you’re surv as town invest, you can’t exactly give info can you? Even when you do give info, town will doubt your claims. Furthermore, late game, you are likely to be lynched of town has no leads. Town investigator is not something you want to claim surv as.

One game I claimed spy as jest and accidentally confirmed myself. I made up the most random visits and they happened to be right. I made town win because my “fake” information was actually real. Why can’t those sort of things happen when I’m evil?

This reminds me literally the other day I was an Executioner and my target claimed No Vest Survivor Day 1. They were a Veteran trying to bait kills which is actually not the worst strategy. They got no kills N1 and I pushed them with the classic Sheriff Suspicious strategy. People seemed to ignore that my target claimed Survivor and started voting ME instead. With no other leads they were put on the stand and claimed Veteran that alerted. They didn’t do a good job defending themselves but somehow managed to get pardoned. N2 occurs and they still don’t get any kills. I thankfully manage to win on Day 3 and at that point I can’t really hide the fact I was an exe. Also one time in classic all any I called out a Medium that fake claimed Survivor and got them lynched and they had the audacity to get mad at ME for not “calling them out” and not hiding my info.

@@SebHaarfagre Pestilence attacks anyone who visits them, when necromancer uses pest that technically counts as a visit to the pestilence meaning necromancer gets attacked. Then Necro sent the pest somewhere meaning pest had rampage at the target and CL also chose the same target that the necromancer chose pest to rampage at. Basically necromancer killed themselves and the CL by targeting the same person lol, hope that helps.

Because Pestilence rampages both at home and the target they visit, even after they die. I'm pretty sure Amnesiacs also die if they try to remember Pestilence. So never attempt to remember or use pestilence unless you have a doctor/pm/crus/GA on you
