I was the same mate could only get a dcc ready version but as I was so impressed with the loco and I agree its certainly the best I have in my collection now, and after struggling to find the right decoder for it, I then went to roads and rails and treated myself to a sound decoder with speaker and wow I was definitely impressed even more and I just can't seem to take it off the tracks at the moment, very impressed indeed kind regards Danny 😀 😊

Hi Danny, I managed to get the original factory ESU sound file decoder from Ultimatemodelrailways last month at the G.E.T show, I haven’t fitted it yet but I will as soon as I can, I have a ESU 50344 passive speaker to fit into it, I also have a driver to fit as well, I’m not really a fan of the ModelU figures because they remind me of zombies 🧟‍♀, very good good video tutorial mate.

Hi kev thank you mate very much appreciated, the disco lights were purchased off of ebay from a German seller and they ate very good very pleased with them, I purchased and used 4 packs for the night club each set has 3 lights so in total to light up my nightclub is has 12 flashing disco lights, hope this helps kind regards Danny 😀 😊

Maybe Hornby can have a word with Cavalex on how to make fit for purpose motorised roof fans, the fans in their 21pin HST packs are woefully bad and seriously underdeveloped in my opinion.

Hi mate thank you, I agree it's certainly a strong contender for my model of the year cavalex have nailed it in every way, so pleased I've got a class 60 on order aswell, I purchased the sound file from roads and rails as I was very impressed with the sound I fitted to my accurascale TPE DVT last year so it was a must to go back to them to get this sound, they recommended a tablet speaker which they soldered for me so I can install the decoder and speaker together without making it hard to install, very impressed I must say kind regards Danny 😀 😊

@@IVERJUNCTION what sound file is this……..a Legomanbiffo or the original Cavalex class 56 factory sound? your the first person I’ve seen to go for a tablet speaker over the new ESU speaker that is being plugged, not sure what speaker to go for in mine yet, an EM2 would be nice like the one in my Hatton’s class 66 which sounds incredible, I hope Cavalex take on a class 08 or class 73 or class 58 or even a class 43 HST would be superb.

Hi mate it's the original cavalex esu sound mate hope this helps it's such an awesome sound very loud and crisp and with a stay alive already built into the loco no interruptions in the sound when running superb

Hi mate yeah I had an option from roads and rails to have speaker prewired for £1.99p so I went for that option to save me any hassle of doing myself which made the whole process very easy to install hope you are keeping well kind regards Danny 😊😃
