My first Svengali deck was the famous "Marshall Brodine's TV Magic Cards". from the 70s. Yes..... As seen on TV. 😃 Soooooooo The white powder is........ ? My stash of magic stuff is DECADES worth. It so fun to see this sort of nostalgia. Good times! 👍😃

I have many early memories based around first seeing someone perform with the Svengali, to learning it’s secret. I always found irony in the fact that most of those Svengali decks used the 8 of hearts as the force card considering that card was a commonly named card… I have the 8 of hearts tattooed on me reminding me of these memories.

I agree, the svengali deck is so awesome, but I'm a beginner and I didn't really know much to do with it

A card at any number is a good one to do with a svengali deck. I think Cavan has a tutorial about it....

I'm fond of the 9 of hearts just because it was the force card in 1st svengali deck I had

I love the Svengali deck and I think it is so underrated because every magician knows it and recognizes it when it is used. Many of them can no longer imagine that there could be anyone in the world who doesn't know it. But laymen usually don't. The funny thing is: All - especially the knowing - laymen and even many magicians can be fooled if you allow them to shuffle the deck themselves. Yes, you can hand out a Svengali deck and let a spectator shuffle the deck (face down, of course) and it will still work, even if he uses an overhand shuffle, for example. Because - think about it - even if the spectator manages to destroy the normal svengaly-order of the cards, it will work for most tricks which involve cutting the deck. ;-)
