Im probably thinking it’s the Garland/Mitchell thing that went on that the ownership thought should have been handled better by coach than it escalating to this point.

The Sabonis vote on the DPOY & First Team All NBA was from some dude that works for a Spanish newspaper called MARCA. He made the pick because he prioritizes players of Hispanic heritage or those that have played in Spain (which Sabonis did)

Yeah, let's blame the coach because your best player was injured and unavailable for 2 crucial playoff games and your second best big man was injured and missed the entire 2nd round series against the best team in the league 🤡

I look at the JJ Reddick narratives as a push from Klutch Sports to make him a comparison to Pat Riley and that the Lakers have been very interested in him. Question 1. Pat Riley was a former Lakers player as well as a former Lakers assistant coach. How is JJ as a journeyman player and an 8th grade coach compared to Pat? Question 2. If the Lakers have been 27:48 interested in JJ, why didn't the front office hire him instead of Darvin Ham? If JJ is that qualified, why didn't Charlotte hire him? Subbar: Did Cleveland fire Birkerstaff in order to entice LeBron to come back home to play with Donovan Mitchell and some quality bigs as well as bringing his own coach?

I guess teams are firing everyone, if they can't get to the Conference finals these days. 😂 I can see a new age coming. The age of 1+1 contracts for coaches, because it's getting kind of expensive to hire guys for 3-5 years and fire them as soon as they can't get to the Conference Finals. 😂 You'd like 4 years? Well in that case we are just going to go with our man JJ over here. 😂 Hey guys how many years until GMs start hiring based on the number of tiktok followers a coach has? 🎉

It's ridiculous to fire a coach when your best player and 2nd best big man are injured and you're playing the best team in the league.

@@kiki42719 we know they ain’t much championship coaches to go around but we prefer an experienced coach (at least) than rookie ones. We hearing names like Redick and Rondo. But to be fair, best way for those guys to break into the coaching scene would be from an assistant standpoint.

Lakers backcourt next year: Chris Paul, Collin Sexton, Bronny James, Max Christie... D Lo gone, AR gone in Lauri Markenan deal (involving 3 firsts, removing protections on already owned Jazz pick, swapping this year's 17th for 31st to grab Bronny, and sadly Rui). LeWatch, btw JJ will be the head coach, guaranteed. 💯💯💯

For the love of God, JB Bickerstaff has the best resume of any candidate out there. If the Lakers seriously want JJ Reddick, just hire him as an assistant coach under Bickerstaff. If the Lakers don't at least interview JB Bickerstaff, then I'm seriously going to consider our front office as insanely incompetent. @Trevor Lane, please address this on the Lakers Nation channel.

I fully agree. And hire Sam Cassell or Rondo as an assistant as well. Bickerstaff had absolutely nothing to do with the Cavs losing to the Celtics - they were missing their best player for 2 games and their second best big man for the entire series, and they were playing against the best team in the league.

JB isnt the best coach by any means, but just like the league has stepped in on shifting the ability of teams to make moves with aprons, they need to step in and do something about the never ending revolving door of coaches. I genuinely think its a serious problem. Coming from a Spurs fan whos had the same coach for almost 30 years, why is the league allowing teams to just terminate contracts of coaches left & right. I understand they still eat the contracts and theres probably something there legally but how the fuck does JB get fired here. The team won 51 & 48 games the past 2 seasons and just lost to the best team in the league in the 2nd round with Mitchell missing the final 2 games. When are teams going to understand in order to builf a culture there cant be a constant revolving door of players and coaches. This was a sheer roster construction problem, not a coaching problem. And yet again somehow the coach gets the blame and the players/Front office dont. Idk what the alternative is, but this is a serious issue that once again is growing and growing right under Adam Silvers nose and hes looking the other way. Per usual. The guy has destroyed the league we grew up loving
