Hi there, I love your style base pickups ,the information you give us about what is trending and why you are picking up the pieces ( seasonality) is of great value to me. I’ve learn more from your videos than from anyone else I follow. Thanks so much !!!

Def keep including style based pickups. Probably about 60% of my inventory is style based due to availability in my area.

I really enjoyed this video! I liked how you pointed out what you are seeing that is on trend and the sleeve types. Common brands that you have had success on not just the “high” level designers. Thank you!

I love the style-based hauls. It's also helpful when you clarify what the different features are called, such as bishop sleeve and bobble detail. 🙂👍

I appreciate all the info on what you pick up. I especially love the style based pick ups because I thrift at a little hole in the wall thrift store and it’s so cheap but the pick ups are mostly style based. I may find a bolo every now and then but those are rare. Love all your content though & I learn quite a bit!

I love when you pick up the style-based items. I'm much more likely to find such items in my area, than bolos.

I definitely like the style based part of the hauls too. I'm now looking for more style based plus sized items when I'm sourcing. Thank you for such great information. 😀

When you share what prices you’ll be listing items at, is that across all platforms? Or eBay where you first list your items?
@cayleyelaine16 сағат бұрын
Ebay where I first list an item. When I crosspost to Posh I add 5 or 10 bucks to account for offers.

When it’s a women’s cardi like that J Crew one, is still okay to use “grandpa core”? Or should I stick with that keyword just for men’s?
@cayleyelaine20 сағат бұрын
You could use grandmacore!

Hi Cayley Elaine! O.K. as per usual I was looking up your BOLOs on EBay to see what's what. I put "Bobble Knit" into the Search Engine and then "Solds" and the filter to show Highest Priced sales. Now what came up...I do not understand. I believe it is in American dollars but maybe I'm wrong. "Express Tricot Hand Knit Sweater..." If this is a true sale I know what I'm on the BOLO for.

What is the best indicator that something is Y2K? I lived through Y2K in my 30s, but I’ve never been a trendy person…more of just classic pieces. I just can’t tell when in a sea of other clothes at the thrift store.
@hollye9043Күн бұрын
Love watching your videos. I've learned alot. What criteria do you use for listing something as new without tags?
@pamprier471020 сағат бұрын
@hollye9043 Good question. I've wondered the same thing.
@cayleyelaine20 сағат бұрын
If there is a manufacturer tag attached.
@hollye90435 сағат бұрын
@@cayleyelaine I would consider that new "with" tags. Now I'm really confused. Lol.
@stefanilemminn7572Күн бұрын
Do you put in your listings without care tags that it “feels like” a certain material or do you list it as that definitely? There are so many times when I’m thrifting that I think to myself oh this is wool or oh this is silk and it ends up being acrylic or a polyester blend or something like that so I would be nervous to post something without a care tag claiming that it’s something when I can’t verify. Even people like McKenzie think a material is something specific and end up being wrong so even a seasoned Thrifter could make that mistake. So I’m curious how you would list something that you THINK is a certain material. Same thing goes for a Y2K style piece… If you can’t find it on Google image or find the exact thing online, how can you say for sure that it’s Y2K? Do you just put Y2K inspired or something like that? I run into this a lot, which is why I’m asking! Thanks!
@cayleyelaine20 сағат бұрын
I will say a material feels like x in a listing. However, I don't make a habit of picking up things without tags. I only make exceptions when I can tell there's enough of a following that it won't matter. I have become pretty familiar with dating tags so it's easy for me to tell if something is y2k or not. Regardless, Y2K is an aesthetic so you can use it on things that are modern.
@stefanilemminn757220 сағат бұрын
@ ah, I see! I’m pretty good with tags too, but there are a lot of times where I can’t find anything like what I have! I was born in 1986 so I’m pretty good about knowing what is Y2K and what’s not but there are times where something looks pretty new and I wonder if it’s a newer piece that just looks Y2K or if it’s actually Y2K and is there a difference when describing and pricing. That really goes for anything vintage. Even with a vintage tag sometimes I go down the rabbit hole trying to find exactly what the timeframe is and I can’t find it so I’ll just leave it as vintage without any more specifics than that. Your videos are a big help to me and I appreciate you responding 😊

Did you goto college for fashion, how do you know
@jordanschoffstall23 сағат бұрын
Probably (and I'm just guessing here), she has the ability to take into consideration all of the things she sees/researches on the internet, TV, real life, etc. and with that vast amount of input (as well as her own personal experience and knowledge as a reseller), is then able to extrapolate the "data" into a working definition of "fashion." Again, just a guess.

I did not. I have been studying and researching these things for years, so in a way, the same as college! Lol
