Cayman Islands and Mexico prepare for deadly Hurricane Beryl

The residents of the Cayman Islands were taking no chances as Hurricane Beryl was poised to strike. There were similar scenes of preparation on Mexico's Gulf coast, where the storm is expected to hit sometime Friday.

Looks like there’s going to be a shortage of cat food in Mexico for a while.

Beryl passed Grand Cayman at 5:30am this Thursday morning, about 60 miles south of us, as a Cat 3. We did not lose power or water, not much damage, thankfully. The sea on Seven Mile Beach looked like glass. It was so smooth, but no, she passed us at 10:30am. The waves were starting to build, and a bit of rain. Thinking of the others who were deeply affected.
