Only things i noticed about cayo from playing it the last week , during the actual mission is the guard that's behind the car is gone , the cash in the wall safe (office) is a little bit lower , and the elite challenge pay out is lower . You can still swim out tho

You can only go through it once you get the loot its locked from the outside and I dont think you can go through it when your doing the intel.

If your grinding out the CY the cool down only applies to the character and not your profile. You can run them back to back solo w 2 characters.

Something that happened to me was that, if i swam too deep when escaping, the rebreathers dissapeared and made me drown. To avoid that, make sure you keep a safe distance from the ocean floor when swimming and you should be okay.

I played with a friend who has literally zero patience and when i told him my rebreathers disappeared, he threw a damn fit. Glad to know there's others in the same boat as well😞

It’s not about going deep there is two reason for that 1:if you alert the guards and the boats are on top of you that way you can’t finish the heist by swimming and if you get close to that black spot your rebreather automatically will be gone 2:if you go to the wrong way the mission will not gonna finish and rebreather will be off or if your friend goes wrong. To avoid this you have to follow the light and you and your friend have the be in the same page (communication)

Swimming still works for me. 🤷‍♂️I did it a couple of days ago. And i’m on console (PS5). Now i do wanna note, if u were to alert the guards after leaving the compound, the swimming will MOST likely not work. Unless you manage to swim and loose them… But it’s rare🤷‍♂️

‘Then you have to swim to the end of the map’ Me in early days, cuz i normally took the bike that was there, but the alarm would go off cause of the guy in the jeep, i then had to swim so long the rebreather would ‘stop working’ and drown like 5 times back to back, these days i play with friends or randoms and we just run to the cliff and aim-down-the-side to walk off. 99% of the times we get no alarm (if didn’t had alarm allready)

What I found different with cayo with the new update is that I used to be able to kill the guards with the red cones of vision (with the exception of the juggernaut) and be able to still keep stealth. Now when I do that, i somehow get caught

The red circle guard that moves between the gate & door at the bottom of the stairs to El Rubio's office is probably the one getting you caught. If you don't drop him behind the half wall near the gate, the Juggernaut spots him. Of course, you can just sneak behind or past the red guards and go straight to the elevator if you want to do a pure stealth run. But of course, you won't have the gate keys to get to the basement easier.

The problem is I think a lot of people are too stupid to look at the minimap and make sure that they are actively swimming away from the islands they're probably swimming still within the island and aren't triggering the edge of the map

Personal recent experience (on pc) - doing it solo with the bike jump off of the end and swimming to the skeleton, works fine. Doing it with two players and swimming out along the canyon, takes FOREVER before it says you made it, like 5-8 minutes, and this happened three times out of three.

it’s deff nerfed. He got fairly lucky on this run. I bet after this coco cola will not spawn. sometime nothing will spawn at all in the hanger. and also guards much more on alert so way harder to take guard ou with them being seen or herd even shooting the cameras

The "NERF" people were talking about was when the update dropped if you collected a painting after collecting the safe contents,the painting value was zero so normally to fix it you would collect the painting first but I think rockstar should have fixed it

I think another Nerf people were talking about was being able to get the El Rubio safe money twice if you ran it with a Duo. Rockstar patched that, apparently.

You can still swim away but what the problem was is that it would take long on the swimming you could swim and swim and the mission wouldn’t end until after maybe 2 minutes in the water but now rockstar fixed it

I watched a friend try it the other day, I think anyone who thinks swimming doesn’t work is just swimming in the wrong direction. The homie wasn’t paying attention to the map and was swimming towards land.

What I have also discovered from this is that you don’t need to kill the car that comes round after you kill the motorcycle at the end because you didn’t and alarms didn’t go off🤷🏻‍♂️

I think it's the guard who stands in front of the building at 9:04, even if you kill him in the corner the other guards can still detect the body.

There is apparently a glitch with the salvage yard mission and you can earn 400k every 10mins apparently

Ya as you drive in after robbery like 2 seconds before screen goes black close app if u did it right you will have the car to sell and the robbery still available to do start right up again

One thing I noticed while doing the heist as well as in your video is that there seems to be a bug with the cameras and the main gate stealth approach. The cameras are shown white meaning that you can walk freely past them without a gun in your hand, but it only works while wearing a disguise, same can be said for the main gate stealth approach, you need a supply truck and disguise to get inside the compound without triggering the alarms, but you can see throughout the video you didn't get a disguise yet were able to see the cameras white on the map and you can see the supply truck blip being highlighted when you were close to the drainage tunnel even though you neither had a disguise nor a supply truck. This also happened when I was doing the heist a couple of days ago, so this likely is a bug I noticed.I haven't tested the approach though so I am not too sure. BTW I love your spin the wheel series and I hope it comes back soon.

Still works exactly the same for me. The merry weather mission is not buffed. I still get plenty of office missions and switching lobbies is still the best way to avoid merry weather. I’m on PS5 too.

I discovered the issue. If you swim very deep when escaping you will die, if you start surfacing when it says that Rubio is heading back you’ll be good, I believe the rebreather is glitched.

The only time I had problems is in the early game days, getting disoriented and swimming the wrong way but any point in the minefield works. These days I just aim for the nearest triangle of mines and I'm out.

I noticed the Merryweather issue also. During the day before DLC update I have noticed bonkers stuff , guard glitches . Also during previous updates in 2 player mode. Maybe check out if union dep is glitched. Repeatedly couldn't park car in some of the marked spots during setup. Sent them a ticket on the issue.

The problem that people will be having is going off at the wrong place as you can be swimming for quite a while. I normally do it solo and it was when I was helping out a few people I saw why they were having trouble exiting as they all seem to jump in right by the wall to the compound

I'm on PS5 and the swimming works for me. if you're off on where to swim I seen that it wont end the heist. I swam for 2-3 mins then checked the map and see I was too far south of the underwater canyon, so I swam up and it finished the heist. great video as always my guy.

I hopped back on recently (last wknd) and been doing the Union Depository heist which i think is the one your talking about. I've been re doing it after i finish it, i did it maybe about 3 times. Never did the other heist after i did it, it was just available for me to start it again

The shortcut always work but it usually takes around 2 minutes with me almost running out of air at the bottom of the ravine before it shows the cutscene.

Swimming away still works. I just did it last night twice. I played through with a friend and we ran his Cayo setup and mine. Both times we jumped off the peninsula by the compound. But don't give Rockstar any ideas.

When jumping and swimming doesnt work its because people lost their bearings and went the wrong way. There is a narrow band that you have to stay inside when swimming away. alwas be just to the left of the point. if you get to the right spot you can slide down and usually land with a combat roll so not even be injured. If you dont see the underwater canyon, you went the wrong way and you'll swim until you get an "out of bounds" message.

When you swim out all you have to do is swim to the darkest grey area on the mini map and stay there, you can do it anywhere

Im making just above 1.5 mil an hour doing the salvage yard replay glitch, it's on par with Cayo if not better especially if you get the top tier car at the cargo ship robbery. It takes around 8 mins a mission so you can do 5 in a hour including sale time it's op right now

I haven't done a Cayo in over a year. I got burned out on it. But most of my fortune came from the union depository exploit. And the Dre job when it has double pay. I'm able to finish the Dre mission in about an hour with job warping.

I do cayo a lot with randoms. And this may be the problem with the swimming not working. A lot of randoms I join, they jump off but they jump off at the wrong part and they have to swim clear out to the edge of the map practically before it ends the heist.

There have been no nerfs to Cayo on ps5. Can confirm. I’ve done prob 20 since DLC came out and they only issue I see is that it feels like the tequila chances have been increased. I got 7 tequilas in a row over the last 3 days.

Not if you land properly I’ve have always drove into the water with the motorcycle or even with the jeep when I play with a friend. We just take a little bit of damage and were good to swim away.

Last weekend 12th/13th July, I completed Cayo eventually however, I took the bike, drove off the island where everyone else does, I swam and swam with nothing happening. I ran out of rebreathers; Supposed to have X20 of them but as soon as the 19th one ran out it changed to normal breathing, I ended up drowning and having to quick restart from last check point, lost elite challenge etc. Messaged Rockstar about it and the couldn't care a sh#t because i completed it any way. I kept saying i lost the elite challenge etc and i even sent them a map of where i did the jump. They replied unfortunately they've checked my profile thoroughly and found no issues as the heist did complete. This is on Old Gen - Xbox One

On PS5 when I swim in the ravine even with the rebreathers for some reason I lose my breath and die. Also the best way to make money in GTA 5 is if I give you a bogden mission where u can make 1.5 mil in 12 min....

Hey U do not need to memoriz the code for safe.U can just go to the "INFO" tab in pause menu.Then u can find everything u want to know. Hope helped u😊

If you jump into the water at the wrong spot then you will have to swim forever but it will still go one time it had sent me back to the island and a couple of seconds after it went to the pass cut screen

GG, another very informative video. I know that the airstrip is the easiest method but I like to mix it up and do the North Dock as well but can’t do the middle loot no matter what I try, killing the the guard, not killing the guard when I cut the chain the alarm goes off.

Some areas take forever to swim away from Cayo Perico, and some are almost instant. I like to head west since going behind the compound is a long swim even with scuba gear.

I always sneak my way to the main dock and use a boat to get away. Use the sub and the tunnel as an entrance of course

If you dont swim in the correct trench, the swimming technique doesn't work. I took a new friend(for his first time) through cayo. Im used to doing it solo and stealing the bike, but since i had to get my friend out too, we just ran it.... But without the bike, and the route that we take on it, i ended up jumping into the water in the wrong place. We swam through a trench, but never got to the tall plant and he drowned. I had it setup on my 2nd character, and took him through again. This time i was aware of my mistake and went to the correct place to enter the water, we swam out no prob. I think i got him hooked. Hes saving up for a kosatka now

You can no longer kill the guys between 9:20-10. After getting the primary loot youll get detected. Also the guy on the stairs back on the airstrip will get detected by the jeep that comes threw. So far idk if that jeep comes back around more then once. I just avoid killing anyone now except the guy in front of the shed hangar

Based on my experience, I can kill the guard at 9:17 and 9:26 without alerting all guards after I collect the primary target. That way, I can increase the chance of getting the gate key, so I don't have to use the elevator in Rubio's office. You can see in my recent video Previously I also killed the guard at 9:13 and yeah, that makes all guards get alerted after I collect the primary target

A few days ago i did the perico heist and it was buggy af. My long fin disappeared, i got bricked in the basement for 45 seconds i couldnt move. The loot has been changed around and i was stuck at the end. I backed out and did the heist again everything was good except there wasnt ebough oot to fill the bag in the hangar

I've ran cayo so many times sorta the exact same way I've made millions and have almost everything in game. You show great ways to make money in gta. The glitches for money never really work if they do they are banable so the best way to make money is grind Cayo twice atleast twice a day

I have burned out on Cayo as of late myself, so I have been running this one once every few days as of late, but I also did experience recent issues with the finish of the heist using this method on XBox Series X. It seems like they may have tightened up the exit window(s) for this method, but it still works.
