How long does it take to get over a difficult breakup? According to Cazzie David, the answer could be as short as eight weeks, if you’re willing to go to extreme lengths. The actress and co-creator of KZbin series Eighty-Sixed devised an eight-week recovery program three years ago after things ended somewhat abruptly with an ex-boyfriend. The first and most important step in her action plan will sound relatively familiar: Cease all communication with your ex (no texting!). The rest of her advice? Let’s just say her methods are unconventional, to say the least.

This is pretty much how my breakup went. I wallowed and cried all the time, and then I wanted to keep my mind occupied as much as possible so I wouldn't think about him and break out crying. I poured myself into my school work and went to the gym a lot and my mind was healing while my body was getting toned and sure enough he came crawling back and the only regret is letting him in again and then getting my heartbroken again but i've learned and grown so much stronger from it
