CB 500 Cadwell Park - Thundersport Racing - Senior & Freshman Honda - track day pc32

Footage from race 3 in the Senior and Freshman Thundersport CB500 at Cadwell Park.
Had an awesome weekend and slowly improved over the 4 days. Look out for the crash I caught on camera 📷 on this video.
Race 1 - 7th in class ✅
Race 2 - 7th in class ✅
Race 3 - 7th in class ✅
Race 4 - 7th in class ✅
At least I was consistent 🤣

Got a few improvements I want to make to the bike, going to stiffen the front forks a little by reducing the air gap (more oil) to make it 130mm. Rear sets and gear box still giving me grief, need to do some more tweaking! 🤦

Cheers mate, yeah I really enjoyed it, crashed a few times during the year, but learned a lot. There's some good racers out there, a lot to get used to at first. The main part is it's extremely fun! 😁 Yeah I think Cadwell is my fav too, closely followed by Anglesey and Oulton.

Cheers mate appreciate it. Yeah it's ace having the different camera angles, captures some cool footage. It also amazed me what was going on behind me during the race, that I had no idea about 🤣

Cheers mate. Yeah I felt better at cadwell for definite. I just need to get better starts and not be scared to push up the inside line. I rolled off a few times when I definitely could have passed. All practice I suppose 🙂

Hi. I'm currently using Dunlop Sportsmart TT tyres for racing. We have to use a road legal tyre. There are better ones like Pirelli Super Corsa which are much better grip, but also more expensive. The Dunlops are 110/70 front and 140/70 rear. These are plenty good enough for a CB500 track tyre as the guys who are really fast on them, set some impressive lap times. 👍

Nah still same. Was a bit better. I'm changing the shift rod and the angle of the lever. If that doesn't help, I'm moving to race shift.

Do you still have the parts for cb500s fairing, seat etc.

Hi, no I sold them a while ago when I built the bike.

@@SuggyRacing thanks anyway, I have exactly the same bike I have had it from new. I have put 137,000 miles on it and it is still going strong. I thought my ship had come in when I saw all those spares. Good luck with your racing.
