hi steve great to see your still kicking mate enjoyed the pmr and cb radio videos over the years still working 11 metres here in belfast using a kenwood ts2000 were getting few in number here il never forget the buzz of cb back in the 80s it never leaves you i came back on the air 2017 after a 30 year break good luck to you and yours steve

Great to see you again Steve! Glad all is well with you. As I'm sure you are aware there has been a big increase in sporadic e in the last few days and as a born again CB'er (after a 35 year gap) this has put a whole new dimension in to the hobby. From SE Kent I've made contact with stations in Germany France Italy Scotland and Ireland. If you are able to capture some of this stuff on your fantastic camera (ps what model is it?) I'm sure it will inspire others like me to get started / started again. Keep up the great work and let's see more videos from you - they are my favourites

Hi fella in some of my vids I already done that mate, Scotland germany America etc etc. The Canon is not suitable for video in the car, I could but its quite big and bulky. Well done on the contacts they come when they come, and when they do its great.

So as a Noise test place your mobile phone next to your Coax, close to the back of your Rig. Do you hear any increase in Skip Shite ? you can place Ferrite rings around your Coax spaced out !!!! wspr looks interesting !!

Great from a mobile and static internet connection on the phone and Network |Radio but little else it seems.

Hi Steve, I am a sub contractor for a telecoms company and I recently did some work regarding 5g. We have made ready over 50 lampposts in the West end of London. Of course London comes with its own qrm so it will be difficult to know if this has an effect but I will be checking to find out. Keep up the good work Steve. 73's 26ct4543

Steve a new radio just out the retevis rt648 pmr submersible radio about thirty pound each on e.bay usb chargers 16 ch 8 of which are the new channels released by Ofcom 2018 these look very rugged.

Five G is a military frequency range for high-powered, targeted weapons. In the telephony weak capabilities but dangerous for humans. No neutral studies have been conducted into its effects on human tissue and organs. The higher the frequencies, the closer the antennas have to be placed, so thousands come into densely populated areas. This technology can and will also be used for other applications in the field of National security and population control, as is already the case in China. Interference's on the cb frequencies is unlikely, but this will still have to be confirmed in practice. Mr Stevens, I always look forward with interest to your instructional videos, of course there are priorities. In the meantime, I wish you both the very best and thank you for your efforts in favor of the CB world. I have no idea fella, I have never used one. Places to listen on are 27.555 (usb) 27.285 (lsb) good for US if the skip is running. Sorry I cant help more ..

The 5th generation of mobile networking, 5G, uses several different frequencies in the UK. For local coverage, they'll be using 700MHz. The 40th Harmonic at 2.8MHz, keep in mind that the CB band is 27.6Mhz For the larger coverage area, they'll be using 3.4ghz to 3.8ghz. At the 40th Harmonic, it's 13.6MHz For the really high 'microwave' rates that people are worried about their health for, it's 24.25 to 27.5GHz. These shouldn't affect your CB signal at all, since they're highly directional signals for connections between two radios. Unless you're very unlucky and happen to have your antenna sitting atop of a large hill between to radio communications masks... but at that point you're going to have no more of a noise floor issue than when it rains. You're far more likely to have issues from harmonics from FM radio broadcasts than 5G networks on 27MHz. For example, BBC's radio 1 is at 98.8Mhz FM, and has a low 27th harmonic at 27.664 MHz. As we know that's mid ch7/8, and because FM is wide band broadcast, it'll easily wipe both channels if it is causing you issues. These are all commerical equitment, usually monitored quite well for interferrence and tolerences. It's more likely that we're getting EU/Asia or USA equitment being used in the UK who see our CB band as unused, and either directly broadcast on it or are careless with any harmonics that resonate on our band. Hence why, a lot of CB users find that low-pass filters work for them.

Hi Fred after our chat I realised that for your type of vids, a camera like mine is not needed. That said I have found I no9 longer need so many lights, let me know fella. I may do a vid showing you what I use including the lighting and how to get the blurr on the back ground.
