It's a lovely bike.Mine is from 2016,i bought it last year,in a Kawasaki shop, near Lille in France.I love his four cylinder. It's a smooth big cat,and red too,but the blue of the last models is beautifull.

Thanks for your comment. It's fascinating that this model is still produced and confirmed on the Honda Japan website. as also confirmed by the Missenden Flyer, from seeing new ones on the streets on his recent tour there. Truly a special machine.

An astoundingly beautiful motor bike! Nuff said!

I bought one in 2013. Still one of my rides. Put a small Dart windscreen on it. Absolutely the perfect thing for experienced motorcyclists to do a bit of relaxing riding. Depending on whether or not you are stock, they will be somewhere between 80-110 HP.

Well they phased out the carbed bandit in 2007 and they had some of the fire of the old CBs

I have a 2013 red and mint like yours. If you want a lookalike cb 750 just get one. I put some home made mud guards and i windshield but will not change a thing otherwise.

To be fair, my friend Ken is always considering projects and quite unplanned, the conversation went that way!

I like the long top gear ratio with these bikes but do wonder if anyone has managed to get rid of the rev limiter in 6th. It could be argued that 118 MPH is enough for this genre of machine but, having owned a CB750 F2 in 1977, a sub 125 limit would annoy the hell out of me, and that bike only had 73 BHP at the crank.

Nice video thank you. The 4 into 4 exhaust as offered by various vendors has one drawback namely you lose the centerstand a sacrifice which I was loathe to make. I settled for a 4 into 1 Arrow full system with cat delete which wakes the motor up a bit This allows the use of the original muffler as well as the Arrow can and the Staintune can which I added to the mix. I bought mine to capture the look and feel of my 1975 CB550F purchased new when I was in high school. The DNA is there along with better suspension, brakes, and fuel injection not to mention twice the displacement. It's a chill ride that will still do the ton in 3rd gear and what a shame that the meddling bureaucrats in the EU and the States killed it. Nothing like it on a country road feeling the big four rumble in your core as you float like a feather in the wind.

Thanks for your reply. The CB550 was the very first Honda 4 I rode in Thailand in 81. Lovely machine which sparked my love for the big Hondas.

@@unconditioned_ride I still have my old 550 fifty years later. It hasn't run in decades yet is complete. I was looking at a complete restoration for $10K when I ran across a brand new 2014 CB1100 in 2017 for $6,199. I decided to get the 1100 and put off the restoration for now. Other bikes have come and gone but I'll never give up the 1100.

I think your conversion idea is going backwards. The CB-1100 is more a tribute to the CBX than the 750. It could be a CBX with the engine slimmed down to 4 cylinders and actually the 4 cyl is a better design for the displacement.

To be fair, it's not going to converted anyway. My friend is much more the engineer to want to do these things. The bike is perfection as it is, IMO Thanks for your feedback.
