Genius idea to use purse handles for the large 'basket'! Also, I have a beautiful hand blown glass decanter, similar to the one you show, and the top is a large wooden ball. Fits perfectly and provides the elegant and rustic look that I love.

I recently just picked up a decanter without a top at my thrift store. I found Amazon sells wooden balls and several sizes. I got some in 3 inch diameter. They usually comes in a package of three or four, so I just use the extra balls in a shallow bowl for decor.

I love this “thrift store challenge” series !!! On the topless decanter, my idea might be to find a cork, leather, or faux marble ball that would cradle in the opening. It would also give another texture with the glass. Hopefully you may find one of each 😊! Your wonderful videos just seem to fly by, I love your creativity! ❤

I have the same decanter. Top with either a cork ball, wooden ball, crystal ball, or marble(stone) sphere, all of them can get found on Amazon, or run across one while thrifting. Thanks again for another great video.

I have bought decanters and used a clear Christmas ball ornament for the top. You could also use a golf ball if the hole is small enough. You could paint either one.

I have a large vintage green glass bottle with a cute brass tap on the front of it, that didn’t have a top. I also had some circular, decorative wooden stamps for crafting and one of these fit perfectly and it looks beautiful.

I have a large decanter from the thrift store too! I took one of my husbands old baseballs and stripped it down (at another time in the past) and I kept it because it looked like burled wood. For your decanter that is missing the top, you can use one of those cork sphears that you see sometimes used as stoppers on jars. I believe they are sold on Amazon. You will just need to measure the width of the opening to get the correct circumstances of the sphear you need.
