@@bikingtravelsAre You really manage to remember all of this beautifull place ? Very impressive trip. I get the same bike, but I never riding more than 3 hours, cause "buthach". How do you do to endure that ?

Thanks, the editing of the video brings back fantastic memories. Riding the bike every day you soon get used to it, and I take a break every 2 hours just to stretch my legs. Hope you enjoy the CB500X as much as I do Nick

Some seriously stunning scenery now. Reminds me a lot of Scotland, but on steroids!! I am curious about the cattle grid just after the tunnel. Didn't look like sheep and cattle country so perhaps it's for the reindeer!? Thanks for the upload.
@bikingtravels Жыл бұрын
Scotland has some beautiful scenery I hope to re-explore next year (weather permitting) 😊 I'm not sure about the cattle grid, I didn't see reindeer and it didn't look grazing land either. Good point! Nick

@@bikingtravels I have the pleasure/pain of living in Scotland. Pleasure of beautiful scenery and roads on which to enjoy it: and the pain of weather that makes doing that not so... pleasurable!!
@StoltHD10 ай бұрын
The Cattle grids are because of sheep free roaming all summer in the mountains... and they have a tendency to stay in the tunnels when bad or cold weather.

Thoroughly enjoying my armchair tour of Norway Nick... it’s good to be back! I really wish they would reintroduce the direct ferry from Newcastle again. I was one of the last people to use it back in 2008 before the route was closed.

Having a beer myself while watching this video and waiting for my tea to be ready. Didn't mind the Austin Healey footage at all because I was lucky enough to drive one in the late 1960's when I was in my late teens. One hell of a car back at that time. Loving the fantastic scenery in this series. Thanks for sharing it with us. Keep safe, Mike.

Many thanks for the comment Mike, I must say I was surprised to see so many still running but more so that they were actually being driven major distances, yep, lovely car. Hope you enjoyed the beer! Nick

A point of interest... I believe the houses in Geiranger are fitted with alarms (and people’s mobile phones) due to a potential huge rockfall further up the fjord which could cause an estimated 40 foot tsunami! I saw a documentary about it a few years ago.

G;day Nick, love this series. Are you running the stock seat on your Cb500X ? The seat on my 2021 CB500X is killing me 😵💫. I get inspired by your trips, especially this one and at the moment I can't even do 50Km without being in pain. I can literally feel the pressure on by backbone the minute I sit on it. Bike becomes a commuter only at this point. I wonder how many other CB500X owner had issues with their stock seat and what seat they got to sort it. Keep up the good work 🙂
@bikingtravels Жыл бұрын
Hi @bigjoe4020, many thanks and good to hear from you. Yep, stock seat which I'm pretty sure would be the same on both our bikes and I know other folk have mentioned how uncomfortable it is but, it is fine for me. A real shame if it is that bad you can't ride it very far, have you checked any of the forums? I do tend to take a break every 2 hours at least to stretch my legs and make sure I'm alert, but not due to discomfort. I really hope you can get it sorted! Nick
