Worth the watch just to see those crazy ungulates. Someone sent me a video of a moose wandering around their garden in New Hampshire recently and I had the same thoughts then. They look like cartoon animals come to life!! So ungainly and stoopid it is amazing they are real and not made up. Makes me smile to see them.

Some times you just have to make time and get though the dull places of a ride and you’re correct; if you haven’t been there, you never know what’s waiting around the next bend in the road. At least the day wasn’t a total wash out. Looking forward to seeing the next episode. Cheers, Jim

HI Jim, yep, although there seemed to be very few bends in this stretch 😁 Nick

Hi Nick and greetings from Finland! We have been watching your videos and by so far you have done the best motorcyclevideos in KZbin. We like your sense of humour and easy going attitude towards travelling with motorbike. Unfortunately Finland is quite flat comparing to Norway, yes we know that :D Hoping to see your journeys in future as well. Best wishes, Heli and Kai

That is so kind of you to say! Yes, my route through Finland had very different scenery to Norway, but it was still enjoyable. The people I met were very friendly and after all, Santa Claus must live there for good reason too 😊 Nick

Almost looked like you could have been riding through a part of the US in this week's episode. I noticed the last 3 or 4 weeks that the muffled sound had been much better - don't know if you tried my suggestion of reducing the bass and increasing the mids a little in an EQ during editing? This week for some reason it went back again. So, dunno if that is just coincidence or whether you'd been adjusting the last 3 or 4 weeks and this week not?

Many thanks for the info and comment. I think the raw capture was worse than usual (road speeds were higher and I think I may have knocked the mic), and yes, thanks for the suggestions, still trying to figure out the best settings. Nick

Hi Nick you've had so much good luck with the weather with very little rain and most of the time empty roads how I long for that.Have you taken any cooking equipment or is that you prefer to buy food and drink as and when you can.
@bikingtravels9 ай бұрын
Yes, I was REALLY lucky with the weather and roads. I took a simple stove and gaz canisters so I could boil water for coffee, porridge and the odd food packet, but not much else. Many thanks for the comment and question. Nick

36 Euro for a campsite. That's what I usually pay for a bed in a pub here in Oz. Tell you what I would have considered wild camping when it gets THAT expensive. Probably because of the Santa Claus fame.
@bikingtravels9 ай бұрын
Expensive yes. but seeing Santa made it all worthwhile 😁 Nick

Hey. This is my hometown's campsite, and very popular in the summer. I think that's why they have this price. Hardly because of Santa Claus, but because of the sleepless night and other things. And Nick, reindeer on the road for the same reason - mosquitoes - they run out of the forest to escape them, and also cooler on a hot summer day.

Is this deflector working good? No wind noise in the helmet? How tall are you?
@bikingtravels5 ай бұрын
Hi, I am 183cm, the deflector is adjustable and where I have it set makes the air hit just above the visor. It is an improvement to the standard but I am still aware of windnoise in my Nolan 80 helmet which you can hear on the videos. Nick
@Wojtekpl25 ай бұрын
@@bikingtravels Actually wind noise in the microphone is not present much. You just talk too quietly. ;) Thanks for info. So, for my 175cm standard screen with deflector should be quite OK.

Sorry Nick but I'm really struggling to hear the commentary whilst you're riding .
@bikingtravels9 ай бұрын
Yep, watched this episode on my laptop and it was far better than my main TV, so watched on another TV and it was better but still not great. I'm a bit stuck with what I've got, hopefully next one is better all round Nick

Sorry Nick but I found this boring…..needs more interesting content, places of interest, less highway riding….etc plus clearer audio wit less muttering

These are day-by-day travel records. Anyone who decides to travel for 7 weeks must expect that it will be a lot of boredom. Let this be a warning to those who think it will be like in a KZbin video, sunny beaches and beautiful views. Nick shows how it really is - flies, rain, inconvenience to reach the destination. As in the words of a certain song, "W życiu piękne są tylko chwile" - "There are only beautiful moments in life." If you are looking for adrenaline, I recommend: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJzFo6KfqN90q9E

Hi Nick, i didn’t think it was at all boring!! But then again I don’t have attention deficit disorder.
@MH-xd2nd9 ай бұрын
If you don’t find it interesting then no one is forcing you to watch. Move on. One person’s boring is another person’s perfectly OK. Plenty of adrenaline junk on YT 😂 I have no issues with the audio through a decent tablet.
