CB750 4 Into 1 Exhaust Install! Sounds Amazing! In this video I remove the 4 into 2 system that was on the bike and install a used 4 into 1 using an unknown brand header. I modify the header exit to fit a short stainless cone muffler for the best combination of looks and sound per my liking. This bike is now simply perfect!
CycleX is where I bought the muffler but it appears I grabbed the last one! Sorry not sorry! Regardless here is a CycleX link as they provide a ton of great stuff anyway. www.cyclexchang...
Previous episode of the seat that I traded for! • The CB750 FINALLY gets...

I hope you all like this one as I have wanted to get a 4 into 1 on this bike since day 1! I do plan to make a short version of this video with just sound clips for the masses so I'm aware this one may be lengthy for what is accomplished. As I know many will chime in saying "would be better with stock pipes" just remember that that is simply an opinion. You have them, I have them, everyone has them. That does not mean your opinion is a fact. Just remember this is all fun and we can all enjoy these things in our own way which is what it's all about.

Well said!! That’s the great thing about bikes….and cars…..making them your own! The downside to this build is that it makes me want a CB750 now. And then I’ll want a CBX again when you start working on that!! 😂. I only have a two-car garage man…and it already has two bikes in it!!!!!!

I used to ride past a section of concrete wall on my way to work. I loved listening to the bike as I rode thru there. sometimes, I would even pull the clutch and give the throttle a couple blips. Same with underpasses. I think they both sounded good but those "pea shooters" just looked a little too "Jetsons" for my taste. If they sounded like the bike did with open exhaust ports, that would have completed the audio visual experience.

Well the patina I wanted to retain is not about looking like a perfectly stock bike but rather just showing that it's lived a live with stories to tell. The header itself is also very aged so it looks right at home on there. I prefer a 4 into 1 so this was what I wanted

That blue with the stock decals makes it the best looking CB750 out there. I always wanted a Candy Gold k0 or k1 like the one my brother used to take me for rides on when I was 3. I recently bought a '73 in Maxim Brown Metallic and I'm not fond if the colour. I considered painting it Candy Gold, Flake Sunrise Orange or the Candy Red that came later, but this Blue is the one! I plan to just mask out the graphics even though they're not perfect, paint the blue, then clearcoat the whole thing. Cheers!

Good thinking on the junction size. Since 4 cyl 4 stroke, there is ever only one power stroke at a time. That means the output pipe size needs be no larger than one of the header pipes. Further, that 4 into 2 was not proper engineering. Since firing order is 1243, the correct way is to pair 1 and 4 in one muffler and 2 and 3 in the other.

My personal opinion on patina is … once upon a time a good salesman convinced a impressionable person that corrosion oxidation scratches and all other forms of Entropy is as valuable as new. In my humble opinion one should do there best to maintain or restore a designer’s creation to his or her original vision for there creation or artwork and it is also ok to put your own artistic or mechanical improvements within reason and faithful to the design family (don’t turn a sport bike into a chopper)

@BrickHouseBuilds ... I had a CB650 Custom that i took off the Original Pipes, Put a 4 to 1 header with Kerker Muffler. I was in Jax, Fla. I took off on beach Blvd. after dark to listen to the new pipes, well it went from damn that sounds awesome, to Oh Shit ... Sound like old Drag Bike... Muffler Fell off. Duval County Sheriff was going the other way so i up shifted quick and let it idle. Damn cops turn around, asked if i was ok because i was going slow and standing on foot pegs, "Yes Sir... No Prob at all ", he left i continued to look for new muffler... now cop turn on the bubble gum machine and the pretty blue and red were flashing... he got on is PA and Yelled "Hey Kid Come Here"......... So, i ran the bike to him shut off the motor and coasted... he laughed at me and asked ...... Looking for This..... It was my Muffler... He then opened his trunk, took out a toolbox and helped me put muffler back on.... he even had a bolt and nut to remount to frame bracket. He then told me he had a Night Hawk S 700 red in color... he asked if i like the pipes and said he might get one since he heard my bike. God Carbs mix set and Sync ..... Ran like a charm. Miss that old "Hooonnnnn Da Da Da, Hooonnnn Da Da Da".... Take Care Love the Video.

I'm not a fan of open pipes. I really dislike the sound as there is no tone or substance. Just too open for me

This is the first time ive used this cheaper muffler but the Cone Engineering brand units I always use sound amazing on anything I use them on. These were bound to be similar.

It is nicer with a longer exhaust, but it sounds better with a shorter one. And what about compression ?
@BrickHouseBuilds
@BrickHouseBuilds 8 ай бұрын
Well its louder without a muffler but I've never liked open exhaust as its just annoying. The bike has 165psi across all cylinders

Your cutting on the header reminded me of the Supertrapp I put on my CB700 Nighthawk S. (You probably saw it last year at one of the 4 Hands VBNs. It was the red and black one) Anyway, the only header I could find for it was an NOS Mac 4-into-1megaphone, but the baffle was awful, so I cut it off, notched the collector, had it ceramic coated, then cut the inlet pipe down on my my Supertrapp muffler and inserted it INSIDE the Mac collector and clamped it that way. I'm sure the flow wasn't the best, but it worked! 🤣

I owned a 1973 Honda 350 CL and installed a 2 into 1 Jardine chrome header and muffler. The header/muffler wasn't one piece. I welded the muffler to one of the header pipes. The other header I did not attach because I could removed the header without taking the whole assembly off when I wanted to change the oil. Also, had to make a bracket to attach the muffler to the swinger arm. Also, I went up one size on the main jets. That was it. Ran and sounded fine.

Great video, lovin the channel. A collector 4 to1 is the answer for in line 4, no matter the make! Power, sound and personality. Love IT! Brings me back to 1984, being 20 yrs old, in A&P school and mounting up on my 1975 Z-1 Kawasaki, Yoshimura 4-1, Road race pipe. Like to have that bike back. Great welding hoss, nice!
