Banjo 1: C chord, hammer-on, pull-off, and "Oh Susanna"

Video review for Madison College session review for 6/18/2015 of Banjo 1: Old-Time Styles. This lesson reviews the C chord, hammering-on, pulling-off, and "Oh Susanna."
It also features my parakeet, Pete.
Correction: In the video I say it should take about a month to get an advanced pull-off riff up to speed and smooth. I should have said "about a year." It's not easy.

Hi Collin, How many frets are on your banjo and what make is it, cheers.

Hi Jim. That is a Gibson RB-175 long-neck banjo. It has 25 frets. Long neck banjos essentially add 3 extra frets to standard sized banjos, so you tune it 3 half-steps lower. That's why have the capo on the 3rd fret-to bring it up to standard C.
