From making anonymous work in small-town Ontario to KZbin stardom, Jared Keeso never imagined he would create and star in a hit TV series - but with the right collaborators, a lot of hard work and a little luck, he has created a national sensation in the form of the CraveTV comedy Letterkenny.
After spending years living and dying by casting calls in Toronto and Los Angeles, Jared decided to take charge of his career: he developed a unique brand of comedy, drawing inspiration from his hometown of Listowel, Ontario. Jared lives by the simple code he learned growing up: "make your money, give back to Canada, work hard and do your best."

I'm an American that just started watching the show a few weeks ago. I can tell you exactly why it hasn't caught on down here. It's cause I had never heard of it until randomly giving it a watch on the Hulu streaming service we have here and Hulu has exclusive rights to the show here in the states.

The slang, the vocabulary, the small town stereotypes are so accurate yet exaggerated, it blew my mind when I first saw the show. I also appreciate the shout outs to all the counties and small towns in worst case Ontario. The show makes me feel proud to be in a rural, middle of no where, small town like Letterkenny 🍁

I love how the shows seem to come off as so low-production and effortless when they actually put major effort into it with a crew of dozens! It seems like he just started filming his ideas with a camera with like 3 people, when actually Keeso has been working hard his whole life up to this point to make this show a hit! I'm from a small town in Austria and I absolutely loved Letterkenny. I thought about remaking some of it in my towns dialect or maybe just doing voice overs in my towns dialect would be funny as hell because instead of a hick cannadian English we have our own hick version of Austrian that not even other Austrians understand haha

I love it too, I grew up and still live in a small town. No shit damn near same population as letterkenny. Our is 5,098 people. Anyone who did anything in this town knew who you were. Sadly we didnt have a hockey team. I wrestled for our school from 5th grade to 12th and wrestled college for 4 years. I did play hockey though but I had to go out of town to do so.

Heard about "Letterkenny" in Oklahoma last week. Signed up to HULU and am now into Season 3 and relishing every minute of it! I am a LONG TIME "Red Green Show" fan (even spent a weekend in Toronto to see Red's taping in the late 90's) and this raises the bar brilliantly. Keep it up (no pun intended)!

I am sorry to admit that I had not ever heard of Letterkenny 3 weeks ago. Now that I have, I am a massive fan. I grew up in a small town in upstate NY where our "Canadian" accent almost sounds the same. I live far away now. I went to a university where everyone was from NYC. And they absolutely looked down on rural people. Way down down. Thank you to all of the cast and people supporting this show! If you ever want a Letterkenny exchange program, you'd be amazed how much my little town is like yours.

True story; I got Crave because I'd been taking a university class watching episodes of Doctor Who (which shockingly exists), and by the time finals came around I had to find a way to rewatch everything that I'd zoned through. I only found about your show two days ago. I find it so very entertaining and funny I ve seen as much I could see in those 2 days. Well acted, written, extremely fast paced detained lines that actually have so much dialogue rapidly given each show is really 1 1/2. I am always left wanting more. Congratulations on finding a place in time to present this model. I imagine it wouldn’t work in Hollywood but they would take it watered down. DON’T .
