It was his nice way of saying junior got scammed without just coming out and saying it. He felt bad at the fact that he travelled all this distance with a fake watch. That's why he offered him a 20% discount in the store.

Nobody in one million years would have a factory authentic Rolex Datejust/Submariner and go out and buy fake papers, cards, hang tags just to sell the watch knowing how fairly easy-to-spot a 30 dollar fake hangtags & card is which would then make any buyer 100% skeptical of the entire watch itself. Even if buyer couldn't find any flaws or reasons the watch wasn't 100% authentic, merely due to the fake documents, they will pass.
