Update: symptoms came back to which I unscrewed the o2 sensor. All the carbon I blew out of the exhaust attached to the sensor making it pitch black. Bought mass airflow sensor cleaner to remove the carbon, then reinstalled. Seems to be working for now, will comment again if symptoms come back. In a nutshell- remove o2 sensor when doing the treatment, or remove it after and give it a good cleaning.

Im having a bit of an issue on a new to me 07, it's no where as bad as what you were experiancing initially. I think I'll check the O2 before I start dumping cleaner into my intake, but with my luck I'll end up there.

Yes all the forum, mechanics hmmmmm....... I just bought a 2003 cbr600rr, with the idling problem. I put in carb cleaner, bike took a while to start ,but when it did it was almost perfect. I'm delighted. I might try the sea foam ,but i dont know if i can get it here. Now I have brake judder under hard braking. Read up about it but not one person said they solved it, but as usual loads of suggested solutions . I have actually stopped reading up on it ,it would do your head in. Well done to you, you are the only person who has solved this very common problem , including everyone on the internet.

I had a similar issue with brakes on my Toyota Tacoma. Good chance your Rotors are warped. You can take them in and get them resurfaced for relatively cheap. Hope this helps, thanks for stoppin by!

Rebuilding back my 2006 CBR600rr. Your videos for this bike have been amazing with your explanation and advice! And showing all the angles and step by step process on what you’re doing. Thank you so much fam 🙏🏾

Thanks for sharing this. I'll need to look into doing this on my 06 CBR600RR. There was a time I wasn't riding my bike for a good while. Then finally got back into riding again and I got similar symptoms. The bike is good in the beginning then begins to rough idle. Resulting in what feels like a loss of power until I hit 4K rpm, then the bike comes back to life. I'll check the O2 sensor too while/after doing the clean.

8:39 is the fix, just wanted to explain background so people can determine if theyre experiencing same thing.

LOL THANKS! Mines is running rough at idle too you saved me so much money idk what it could be someone told me idle screw too havent tried it yet
@moreclips805 Жыл бұрын
Id definitely check the idle screw first. Alot of people have reported that working for them. If that doesnt do anything, heres a couple more things you can check: 1) idle screw 2) air filter 3) Vaccum Hoses 4) spark plugs (check compression while you're in there) 5) ignition coils 6) fuel pump 7) air pocket in coolant (google Honda hunting idle) 8) iat sensor 9) map sensor 10) IACV valve 11) clogged fuel injectors 12) carbon build up on throttle bodies 13) PCV Valve stuck open/ closed

Would appreciate if u had any ideas

Throttle sensor?
@timdavis60882 ай бұрын
Watch your fast idle wax unit as the bike warms to temp. As the wax warms it should stroke closed to @ 1,500. If you have a Power Commander installed you can hook up and watch your TPS under the "Power Commander Tools", "Calibrate". I'd also suggest you recalibrate your TPS while you're there. Sometimes that can resolve those issues. Check your MAP sensor vacuum hoses. Pull each hose off of the 5-way tee and look at the INSIDE of the hose. They most likely need replacing. Replace them with silicone tubing.

I accidentally left a paper towel in the throttle body holding the butterfly open 😅

I’ve done this and my misfire has gone from cylinder 3 to cylinder 2. Any ideas?

Clear DTC codes, then move ignition coil to another cylinder. Does it follow? If not, move spark plug next. If it follows, replace the coil or plug. Any work done on the bike recently? Make sure all vacuum lines (including pair system if applicable) are connected. If all those tests pass, then it likely has something to do with fuel (injectors/pump/pressure regulator). Before buying parts, check compression as well.
