CRE 8900 Software Tutorial - AM FM SSB 10 Meter Radio

Picked one up brand new in the box here in England just three days ago, and outstanding radio if ever there was one. I have a Mk 1 President Lincoln that i love to bits but i think for now this will be my main radio with all the features to play around with. Sixty channels on each band and will program it like the Lincoln, from 25 MHz through to 30.

I got 3.0 and I dont have the remember features in the channel info, am I going to have to downgrade my software to get that feature back?

I can't get my software to read from radio , in device manager i've got a yellow triangle at the prolific USB - to - Serial Comm Port ( COM 10 ) , Can you help please

Are you using the USB cable that came with the radio? That's the only USB cable that worked when I was trying to program the radio. Needed to run an older version of windows (XP) to get it to work. It would not work with my Windows 7 computer at the time.

If you use the USB cable that comes with the radio it should work on all recent Windows versions. I have Windows 8 and it worked with no problems.

I have this radio and purchase the cable for it, but was unable to get the cable to install in windows. The cable is a USB to Serial Adapter with a usb mini on the end to the radio. strange. It did not come with USB software, windows found something but it would not work.. If you can tell me what driver and/or cable you used that would be great

25Watts SSB and 12 AM/FM out of the box, after modification 15Watts AM/FM and 40SSB
