Today we celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the End of WWII. No mention on the CBS Evening News but they did choose to highlight themselves by showing the 57th anniversary of their then 15 minute news segment extending to 30 minutes. Is that really newsworthy? Never the less, in my thoughts today were the so many WWII men and women that I have come to know over the years. As a kid I grow up on a street full of them. None from my street are left and time will soon yield the day that my phone will no longer hold a single phone number of a living WWII Veteran. It is truly a day to remember, but not for this. Disappointed CBS...
