I love his comment about his adoptive parents. He never felt anything was missing. These stories are a joy to watch.

Love the openness of these anchors. So wonderful that they can connect via a shared experience.

As another adoptee, the way this anchor put the art in the house, explains it soooo much.... Perfect analogy.... The only difference I have, is that I'm searching for the painter! Lol. But having known my whole life, I'm torn, but having the support of my family, and knowing they are my family, but to have the unknown is disturbing. I'm not looking for my family, I have my family, but looking for the blood relatives that are out there.....

It’s different for Asian adoptees since they are predominantly adopted into white families. It creates a indentity crisis which pushes people to find their roots.

It's exacerbated when their adoptive parents don't make attempts to immerse or even just introduce them to aspects of their culture.

Serena Rios no but it’s less hurtful in the future to at least expose them to their culture

Not just Asians, but minorities being adopted into white families in general. It is great that these kids are being adopted, but when families keep things secret or don't allow them to discover their own identity and culture, it definitely creates an identity crisis. I've talked to adoptees and have heard stories of adoptees even on KZbin that have gone through identity crisises and are now going through learning their own language and culture in their young adult and even late adult life.
