You left this 2 years ago, so now you're 60. I just turned 59 and I grew up listening to these stories and I was thrilled when I discovered them in my phone 😅. Brings back childhood memories 😊

I'm so glad I can listen to them again. I was quite a fan of them when they originally aired. Part of me still wishes I was hearing them over broadcast radio, though. There was something so romantic about being in bed late at night and catching the "CBS Radio Mystery Theater" on a signal from some distant radio station far away, usually AM.

I remember first hearing these as a kid in the early 80s on my dads portable radio that took 8 D celll batteries..i started borrowing OTR records from the library. Wish I could relive those days.

13 July 2024 - I guess this show was a commentary on all the cults that proliferated in the 1970s. Listening from Central Kentucky on a nice cool morning. Coffee, bird watching, CBSRMT. RIP, Chilly, and thanks!

You're welcome.........Some episodes have better sound than others, my understanding is that they were mostly collected by people recording them off the radio in the 70s/80s..........Compared to some episodes I thought the sound was pretty good overall.........The ones that have perfect quality are known as the revival episodes and they were recorded with better equipment when they were rebroadcast in 1998 & 2000, there's about 130 of those.
