if you miss you can get most of them on dvd garfiend and friends. dink the little dinosaur. pee-wee's play house. the california raisins are on dvd and in 2003 4 episodes of the muppet babies were released on 4 dvds each with only one episode and each one was with muppet babies plash toy miss piggy. kermit. fozzie. gonzo

Why Garfield & Friends is running for an hour that season? The initial order for Garfield and Friends was for two seasons and a pretty high license fee. Networks rarely commit for two seasons *but The Cat was a highly-desired property* and the two main guys behind the show - Lee Mendelson and Jim Davis - had the clout to get what they wanted and equally important, the willingness to say no if they didn't get what they wanted. So they got a deal for 26 half-hours. Thirteen would air the first year and thirteen would air the second. As soon as it hit the air though, it was apparent that it was a huge hit and *CBS asked, almost immediately, if the show could become an hour for the following year (season 2, 1989-90).* -Mark Evanier

I was living in Nuevo Laredo in Mexico, right across Laredo, TX in 1989 and 1990. I remember this line-up very well even though I was about 6 when it aired. I enjoyed them all even though back then I didn't speak or understand English at the time. The only one I don't remember is "Dink the Little Dinosaur" then, but I ended up watching it in Spanish a few years later in a Mexican network in a different city.

For some weird reason, CBS didn’t make their own Saturday Morning bumpers that season (1989-90). Maybe due to the 1988-89 writers strike 🪧.

Dude, I always hated that Marvel Productions logo with Spiderman on it. Nightmare fuel to me, but not to others. Who knew that back in the 80s, and beyond, Spidey's grimacing look scared me half to death... even in "The Magic Paintbrush", it popped at me from out of nowhere. Why air it at the end? WHY NOW? It's madness! It still haunts me to this day! I hate it! I HATE IT! I HATE IT!!!

@prtgiese, yeah, i found that logo a bit creepy, back in the day, too. For me, the most unnerving & unsettling logo, will always be the Stephen J Cannell productions logo! Man, that's something else that made the '80s great! Scary logos!

I noticed that they made two wishes in the Peewee episode: one for Miss Yvonne to stay, the other was Peewee wanting to go. Jambi only showed up to make her go. Even he must have been tired of her s##t, LOL. 😅🤣

CBS didn’t have the Fido Dido bumper until 1990. In fact CBS didn’t have a standard bumper format in 1989
