My Dad has (and I think still does) get worried whenever he sees any news interrupt a TV show. I'm pretty sure it's because the first time he ever saw one was when Kennedy was assassinated. Even as a child raised in post 9/11 America whenever I see one of these my heart drops a little inside. At least these aren't half as terrifying as NBC's intros. When I see those I am just waiting for bad news to strike.

0:20-0:24 was also used in an episode of All in The Family. It's the one where Archie appears on the 6 o' clock CBS news to speak out against President Nixon, and when he goes to the bar to see the report, his part is interrupted by a CBS News report from Nixon. Classic.
