It is tragic what the storms have done to communities. Unfortunately, the US has ignored for decades the fact that climate change is a reality and for example, as in Florida, the governor refuses to admit that man made climate change is responsible for the worsening weather in areas of the US. So people can continue to put their heads in the sand and watch the weather worsen and worsen, or they can support efforts to protect the country from worsening weather. At least we live in a country where the President can and has directed funds immediately to help rescue people, provide funds for immediate needs and in the future help build back communities.

I wish Jericka Duncan were taking over for Norah O'Donnell when she concludes her anchoring of the CBS Evening News. Ms. Duncan seems more serious, and more focused on reporting the news, than any other anchor now on screen. She reminds me of Walter Cronkite.
