Ex-Sea World trainer on dangers of that job

Trainers have a ton of say in the matter. If nobody is willing to do that job, SeaWorld will have to stop the shows. It's because people keep applying for those positions that this abuse is allowed to continue.

The last death was Dawn Brancheau, in 2010. And the facilities, and the way of life that's forced upon these animals there, is still wholly inadequate. Man could never create an artificial environment that would ever match life in the wild.

It should be illegal to keep wild animals in captivity. No wonder they're pissed off at those trainers/slave-keepers! Who wouldn't be who's kept in a tank and forced to do stupid tricks? :(

Im glad Samantha had the guts to speak up! Dawns family must have had a big pay off because they didn't sue seaworld. They worked together to get the tapes sealed

They shd b set free. They capture the baby calves; and take them away from their mothers.. how traumatic!! They r highly intelligent Mammals, they choose a mate 4 life!! So sad.. the stress just catches up w/ them, I'm sure. They don't really mean 2 kill; they r acting out... I don't believe n captivity 4 any animals ... Zoos, etc.!!!

three measly years of working there in the 90's , doesn't make her know crap. if you do research on all the ex trainers in blackfish, they all left under not so good terms, or were fired. i mean shut up already. i don't feel these ex trainers even care about the animals, i see it as attention seeking, revenge. plain and simple.

The people in blackfish are not reputable witnesses, They haven't work for seaworld in MANY years. Most of them worked with other animals, never with the whales and certainly never with tilikum with the exception of one but he was 'demoted' because he didn't swim well and not even the whales liked him. One of the 'experts' even kicked a sea otter during training. These are just bitter ex employees who wanted to make money because they failed at life
