Jay Leno has a team of guys who work on his cars, Conan spends his Saturdays changing the oil, rotating the tires and tracking down wiring issues in his SHO while drinking cold domestic beer out of a can. Conan is the working class hero that Jay pretends to be.

it's a SHO....that thing smokes corvettes....it was built as a middle finger to chevy cuz it had more power than the flagship sports car from chevy and was labled a FAMILY SEDAN.

WookedoutLINK it was built as an accident. Ford ordered the sho motor from Yamaha to put in a version of the probe that fell through. When the motors arrived they decided to shove them in their midsize sedan instead, thus began the sho. The sho was an animal in its day but it wasn’t built to put “a middle finger to Chevy.”

This is Conan in his depression era I'll bet. You can tell kind of. He's kind of pushing it to be entertaining, there's a hint of anger here. He's probably a tad emotional too because his taurus probably remind him of his early success at NBC, which had recently come to an unwelcome end.

He has mentioned that he hated "established" press like 60 Minutes. The old style of writers who find eloquent meaning that has nothing to do with Conan's story annoys Conan. He prefers the casual, quirky artists and little known writers and people who can understand him, instead of those professional crews that are trying to use him like a performing monkey.

Ford Taurus actually was a sexy car at the time. It was the first car to abandon the boxy look of the '80s and make everything super curvy (spawning the ugliest era in car history). It was so futuristic-looking, they featured it in the RoboCop film.

The SHO was actually my dream car. I had a brand new 88.5 Escort GT because I couldn't afford the insurance on an 88 Mustang GT. I never got SHO because it lost its way and tried to go upscale, lost the manual and added a V-8. Then Ford tried to try again but the car was too heavy and the turbo V-6 wasn't the same as the original. I retired in 2016 and purchased a 2017 Mustang GT Grabber Blue PP with a manual. I still own it and love it even more today.
