When they had to move from NYC to LA for his new show, the network refused to pay for his staff to move crosscountry and I think they also stiffed them on payment during the late night drama - Conan paid for his entire staff to move and their paychecks while they sat in limbo with the networks. Everytime I see these segments of Conan doing some random weird stuff with his staff, I get a sense how wonderful it must be to work for him.
