I'm not sure where they stand historically as a band, but this is undoubtedly one of the greatest songs ever...even more, a great live concert song. Their show last night in Tampa was amazing, nd this song in particular gets 60k people on their feet instantly.

You can't argue that viva la Vida has better instrumentals, better lyrics, and more creativity than chasing pavements. Not saying that it's a bad song, it just doesn't come close to viva
